Oleksandr Usyk and Mairis Briedis fought in early 2018 and many people saw it as stepping stone for Usyk to get to Gassiev. The fight wasn't even that hyped and many people thought it was a sure win for Usyk.

The fight was incredibly close with Usyk edging Briedis in the cards. It was the toughest fight of Usyk's career and he was evenly matched against the skilled Briedis.

Looking back, this was one of the most high-level fights in the last 10 years. I'm talking about GGG-Canelo level and we didn't get to appreciate it for what it was. Both guys were undefeated and in their prime. People thought Gassiev was the boogeyman in the division, but it was Briedis all along.

Briedis is easily the best victory of Usyk's career.

The CW division these past 5 years or so has been packed with talent.
Usyk vs. Briedis was a nice reflection of that.

Yes it was high-level stuff, it was far from a cake walk for the Ukrainian but damn Usyks a winner! I had it 8-4.. a lot of the Latvians shots were hitting the Gloves of Usyk if u watch it back..

I don't remember what my scorecard was, but I believe it was 7-5 Usyk. I don't think many people scored the fight for Briedis. I did saw a lot of draw though. It was a close fight that could have been scored 6-6 to 8-4 for Usyk.

Breidis had a good night and still lost, hasn't looked sensational since then. I wouldn't look too far into it. He's still top 5 in the division though.

Breidis is seriously underrated. 99% of the viewing public have no idea who the man is. He’s one of the best cruiserweights ive ever seen and is up there with the best the divisions ever produced. Class fighter

Most people were jocking Gassiev as the #2 guy, and the Briedis fight got right by them.

Many fans still focus on the HW division and dismiss the CW division as if it's still the 80s.

I said Briedis is the 3rd best CW of All Time and someone disagreed with me.. His resume is far superior to everyone not name Holyfield and Usyk...

These assumptions good or bad night are casual just talks.
You need to follow only Rocky Marciano, because he decided turn into business and had accumulated for his opinions enough savings to retire, therefore retired undefeated. Then, maybe Floyd Jr and his mantra Undefeated!
Better Don King: my prospect is UNDEFEATED. Listen everyone, he is undefeated, Gerald will KO Nigel Benn!

You might not look far, even Glowacki is in top 5 in the division.
How you do evalue them matters nothing for them. They are not from U.S and therefore probably doesn't have fanbase in U.S unlike Tabiti that had been KOed by Dorticos or Murat that had send Dorticos out of the ring with punches.
Level = JUST boxers origin at first for majority of fans.

Every time I watch Usyk highlights (and yes I've watched his full fights before), I'm more and more convinced he beats every top level CW ever...........except Evander

He beats Evander as well. Won't have anywhere near the career at HW though.
