Usyk vs Chisora prediction thread

I have no idea why people read into bouts like that. It's clear that Oleksandr Usyk will approach bigger bouts with more intensity. He hardly put a foot wrong against Chazz Witherspoon, anyway. The best part about having this bout tonight is that people will stop needlessly referencing the Chazz Witherspoon bout.

Dereck Chisora has about as much chance of winning as Lucas Browne would have against Tyson Fury.

 

Usyk isn’t the slick, defensive master people have built him up as, doesn’t moves his head much and isn’t that hard to tag. Fury said the key to beating Chisora is a good, solid jab, and I’m not convinced Usyks light, flicking jab is gonna sting enough to keep him or other big units from marching him down. Key factor in this fight that I haven’t seen discussed at all. If Usyk can really sit down on his jab and keep Chisora honest coming in, he’ll win. If the jab fails to get Chisoras attention, he grinds Usyk down and stops him. Have a feeling it will be the latter.

 

I did mention styles and the fact Usyk can raise his game accordingly.

Been waiting for this fight actually Late starter vs early starter , the guy who came up from lower weight class vs the big heavyweight puncher, boxer vs pressure slugger.
definitely a tough fight for usyk,although a high guard defense master ,but blocking at heavyweight isn’t really as effective as slipping&ducking because some of these big punchers their power can go through your gloves&arms , even chisora ‘s big hooks on the guard would send usyk to the ropes, I suspect the early rounds would be a bit like lopez loma where usyk would try to avoid those big hooks then when chisora gets abit tired usyk starts looking to counter &step to the side and leads, Chisora is nothing like lopez so it would really be like matador and bull, the taller leaner guy usyk with reach advantage so it would be the guy who came up from lower weight class keeping the bigger guy at bay, and the bigger guy looks to come in, chisora is a slugger a decent hook-er who goes to the head&body well ,brings a lot of pressure but technically far behind , poor defense slower feet etc , and straight punches beating hooks, I got usyk by late rounds stoppage maybe 8th maybe passes 10th. if he survives the early rounds. definitely gonna be a exciting fight most likely the best heavyweight fight of this year.

 

You think Usyk was 200 lber walking around when he competed in WBSS?

 

I don’t know why people read so much into the WSB fights. It’s a bunch of amateurs fighting each other under pro rules for 5 rounds. Nothing like a real HW fight against a seasoned professional.
