Usyk vs Chisora prediction thread

Got to say was impressed with how usyk delt with some big shots early rounds. Usyk really is a class act, answered a lot question marks for me. Didn't have the power to really bother chisora, his all round ability is awesome tho.

Think delboy gave it a really good go, definitely not a performance to be ashamed of. As normal put on a fight worth a watch.

 

Even if Usyk hasnt the punch power of Fury, Joshua or Wilder Ive to say Chisora at the 6th was completely outboxed. So.. I think the main problem of Usyk Is not the power who however looks good but his capacity to absorb punches from Hws bigger than him.

 

Totally at his size fighting at hw you don't want to eat to many of those big shots. Shook them off pretty well the other night, but bigger obstacles to come. Did notice is face was marking up. Reckon cuts could be a problem for usyk, against big puncher's with better ability then chisora

 

Usyk at 216 lbs has few chances against bigger fighters like Fury and AJ who have more power, technique, stamina, chin and IQ ring than Chisora. He has chances with Wilder imo who fights at his weight but he gotta be able to stay continuously away from Wilders right hand to win.

 

Wilder would hardly land a glove on him. There polar opposites in ring iq. But like I said, totally agree usyk is going to have his work cut out with the top shelf.

Fury would actually look like a gaint in the ring with usyk. Chisora has been the gate keeper for the top for years. Hits hard likes a battle loads of heart, that's why we love him.

Usyk proved he can take a big shot from a slugger, there's bigger tests to come of course. Think it's made things more interesting for the hw division him stepping up a weight imo

 

Uysk already bulked up, at what point does that detract from your natural style. Suppose it depends on the indervideral, but if he was carrying a bit more power. Yes would definitely be more dangerous but would it impact, speed, stamina, probably.

He's not a plant and trade fighter, he's slick that's his thing. But the big heavys of today are massive maybe too massive for him. Will be interesting tho

 

AJ doesn`t have a better chin than Chisora even if he took Whyte`s hook better.

 

His chin didn`t stand up to Ruiz`s power though.

 

Why the hell should Usyk bulk up to 240 and lose everything that makes him what he is for a minute and theoretical improvement in punching power and punch resistance? If he was going to be a knockout puncher he'd be displaying it now. 215 is more than enough for anyone to show top flight punch power in the heavies. Wilder does it, and fighters like Haye did it before him. As for his chin, he's never been down and a huge part of that is how nimble and hard to pin down he is. He turns into a tank and he starts taking punches flush on the chin. Yeah, great idea.

Usyk's fine where he's at, and if any of the flabbalicious heavies had any discipline they'd make more efforts to get down to a reasonable fighting weight as well.

 

If he doesn't find some power from somewhere will only ever get victory's on the cards. Can't see him knocking anyone over at heavy. But is very intelligent with his movement, but like I said that weight is going to take away from other attributes. Usyk joshua would make a great watch tho imo

 

Agree wouldn't suit usyk to bulk up 100% with you there.

Can't expect others to drop weight to accommodate him tho mate

 

Not saying they should do so to accommodate him. They should do it for their own careers. I can't see Whyte at 260 being any better than Whyte at 230 for instance.

 

Think even whyte would agree with you there mate. He's been adding weight for years. Not been in great shape for a while really, in his defense he ent no spring chicken anymore.
