Hide was known for his power, Usyk not so much. Hides movement gave him issues for rounds 1 and 2 but he got destroyed the rest of the fight. The noteworthy thing to take from the Bowe/Hide fight is that Hides feints never stopped Bowe in his tracks like it did Joshua and when Bowe got into range or got into a clinch with Hide he went to work on the inside and went straight for the body, a tactic that Usyk is especially vulnerable too.

    Bowe KO1.

Don't even talk to me about how he was clearly outboxed by a lot of opponents and would have struggled tremendously with someone like Usyk.

Bowe had a mythical prime that few can ever reach. It's so mythical that some have said it actually only lasted a single hour.

    Bowe KO1.

Like Usyk has never been outboxed before lol Usyk is known to struggle more with guys that can apply pressure and go to the body. Even Joshua had success with it before he stupidly abandoned the tactic. Highly doubt Briedis or Bellew or Chisora would give Bowe problems. Stop trying to nitpick to fit your narrative. That being said Usyk is a far better technician but Bowe isn't going be gunshy and he can work on the inside when Usyk gets into a clinch with him. It would be significantly harder than the Joshua fight even if Usyk pulls it off. Usyk has the tools to do it.

Bowe outboxes and stops Golota on the internet. He only gets outboxed in an actual fight. On the internet and in his mythical prime, Bowe's jab is too much for Golota.

Bowe came in the fight almost 20 pounds above his prime peak fighting weight of 235 and got battered. He came in the rematch in shape and performed much better. He lost the first, got dropped in the second, adjusted and boxed with Golota in the 3rd and even dropped Golota in the 4th. He was beating Golota up in the 4th until Golota fouled him numerous times. One of the nutshots even had him on the floor. That can take energy out of you, especially if a combination to the nuts is coming from a 240 pound man. People always get mad at Ward for his "low blows" and say the nutshots affected the fight but what about the blatant nutshots and the headbutts Golota gave Bowe ? The ones that even had him wincing in pain on the floor ? That clearly changed the momentum of the fight.

My question is did you actually watch the full rematch or do you just repeat what you see on the internet. Answer me slyk.

I've seen both fights numerous times. I don't have anything against Bowe and I don't think Golota is a bad fighter at all.

I don't care for "one-fight prime" fighters who get to have their absolute best performance apply to their entire career. Bowe is one of these fighters. '88 Tyson is one of these fighters. When they struggled against elite boxers they were suddenly no longer in their prime. They're just not as good as we want them to be.

The people who pick them to KO1 everyone always forget that styles make fights.

You didn't read the paragraph did you. Bowe was doing well against Golota in the rematch until the lowblows. Tyson obliterated Michael Spinks, the same Spinks that dethroned Holmes, the same Holmes that schooled Ray Mercer years after. Tyson is overrated but he was still an elite fighter, he's certainly better than Anthony Joshua lmao. Tyson also cleared out most of his division in the 80s and the current crop isn't all that as old Povetkin, old Chisora and old Arreola proved. He also has Berbick, Golota, Bruno, Ruddock, Williams, past it Holmes, and Thomas. His resume is pretty good, just isn't all that, but still pretty good. The resume certainly looks better than what both Klitschko brothers have.

Bowe's resume is consists of Holyfield 2x, Herbie Hide and fringe contenders like Larry Donald and Coetzer. That isn't a bad resume, just a somewhat thin one. Usyks is better but stylistically Bowe would be a much tougher fight than Joshua.

Also i have yet to see Bowe KO1. I think you're making a bigger fuss out of this than it really is

Usyk has better angles than Hide did and better head movement and a better chin.

Bowe at his best is one of the toughest fights in HW history. Usyk can fight off the back foot well but as dangerous as Bowe is close I see Usyk having a hard time scoring.

Usyk is far more careful than Holy was but much more aggressive than Donald was v Bowe, he just went into a shell and did nothing.

Usyk would beat him easily, and without low blows unlike Golota.

Who the **** cares ? Maybe it is time to just enjoy watching an all time great while he's fighting instead of fantasy matching him with long retired guys.

Bowe would eat a lot of leather but he’d get to him eventually. His jab, pressure and offensive repertoire is too good. Bowe also was a bully and very physical up close. We all saw how uncomfortable Usyk was with Chisora’s pressure and body punching. Usyk would be winning rounds but those uppercuts and body punches in-close from Bowe would take a lot out Usyk just like they did to Holyfield.
