Exactly. I imagine Dubios comes out hard and fast. Usyk will have to survive a prime, powerful fighter full of confidence who doesn't mind low blows and headbutts. For me this is a 60/40 fight. It will be interesting to see if Usyk can dent that confidence early. One of the intangibles is how deep Daniel's self belief runs.
Dubois tried this against Joyce. He got tired, picked apart, and stopped by a jab. There is nothing to suggest that Dubois has greatly improved technique wise from that point on. The only arguments are "he is confident now! he fights more aggressively!". Here is a confident and aggressive Dubois: This content is protected
Don Charles think they have devised the perfect game plan for exactly what Dubois needs to do to catch up with ''The Cat'' Usyk and win the fight. They seem very confident This might sound crazy but part of me is suspicious they've been bluffing and Dubois will try and make Usyk come to him and walk him into shots like Bellew did. I don't know if he's capable of doing that, you would assume not, but I think it is effective tactic vs Usyk if he's just going to try and walk you down and be too reckless like he was vs Bellew, Belly, and some other fights.
Dubois wins this in my opinion. Dubois needs to forget focusing on taking centre ring, forget being too clever, forget trying to outbox Usyk, forget trying to fight in the outer pocket, forget trying to land a heavy punch from the outside and then go in for the kill. That was the plan with their first fight. Usyk won’t be there for a Dubois KO victory via a one punch knockout. If Usyk cops a few solid shots and feels threatened, he’ll start boxing on the back foot like he did against Dereck Chisora. Dubois needs to maul Usyk from the get go whilst protecting his head as much as possible. The clashing of bodies, forcing Usyk back chest on chest. The moment there is some space, short and quick bombs to the head and body. Don’t give Usyk an inch, close the distance as much possible and don’t stop throwing. If he can follow this game plan, Dubois wins this via mid to late rounds stoppage, via accumulation.
That's exactly what AJ x2 and Fury x2 both said they had to do before they went in. It's not that easy with this guy
Dubois will need to be bordering on being reckless with constant pressure, swinging bangers. It'll have to be crude.
