Parker and Kabayel should be fighting on the Usyk-Dubois undercard. Winner gets the winner. Should be announced in advance. Won’t happen. But it should.
only big money fights left for AJ are Fury and Chisora. If I were him, I’d sign those two, try my damn best to win, then retire with my marbles intact.
Yeah, I think Eddie is doing the hard sell on AJ-Fury - it's happening nearly a decade too late, and both are way over the hill. I honestly think it sells badly with a casual audience now that Usyk has dismantled the pair of them and Dubois eviscerated Joshua.
Before looking ahead I have a little bit of concern re the Dubois fight. Usyk is the rightful favourite but, of the two, Usyk is the only one who might’ve lost a step since their last encounter. At the very least, that could see a much tougher fight for Olek, and depending on wear/tear and any damage incurred, his schedule going forward might be altered if not see retirement altogether.
I still want to see Joshua vs Fury even though it would be well after when it should’ve actually happened.
What’s with acting like Fury looked bad in his last two outings? He looked great. Only issue was Usyk was even greater. I’d fully expect the Fury of either Usyk fight to beat AJ by a wide margin. I wouldn’t even be surprised if the only round AJ wins is the one where he knocks Fury down (also something I’d bet on - AJ scoring at least one KD). It’s going to look like Holmes-Shavers 2.
No, nobody knows Parker or Kabayel and nobody's interested in them. Joshua is still popular because of his past achievements and his physique. And Parker lost to Whyte and Joyce. He's no different than Chisora. His recent achievements don't make him a superstar.
Fury not fighting Wardkey, Hrgovic, Kabayel, Zhang, Parker, Dubois etc doesn't sit well with me. You don't get to claim Fury is better than them without proving it in the ring. None of these guys lost to Fury or anyone Fury beat so superiority claims by his cheerleaders remain hollow
These people were not of his era, accept Parker, who Joshua beat. There is no way around what I have said. Usyk has proven that he is the best heavy from 2015 today, without question, by beating Fury, Joshua and Parker, and that is coming up from cruiser. He owes history nothing, and he sure doesn't owe you anything. Zhang and Hrgovic have never been in the conversation. Wardly in not in the conversation yet. Even Kabeyel has not done anything to get in it just yet. Parker has only now re-entered into it from the days when Joshua beat him. This is all a specacular re-write of history.
Still popular because of his physique haha? Is that a typo? Joe Parker has beaten Wilder, Zhang and Bakole, who were bogeymen and top 5 in the division. Nobody wants to see a merry-go-round of fights between Fury, Joshua and Usyk. AJ and Fury had two bites of the cherry each and were comfortably beaten. We know who is the best out of all of them. Parker is a household name in his home country of about 5 million people, and more importantly, he deserves his shot. Are you saying that if a fighter has a couple of early losses and then goes on a streak of beating several of the top 5 names, he doesn't deserve a title shot because he lost a couple of fights six or seven years ago? Or should AJ and Fury keep fighting Usyk repeatedly until one of them lands a lucky punch?
Would you say he looked that great? Maybe for the first few rounds of the first fight, he did, but then Usyk took over, and he should have got the stoppage. In the second fight, he coasted it in second gear. I agree that Fury beats AJ; I just don't think the fight has the same appeal now. At one point, it could've been the biggest sporting event in British history, but since Joshua got eviscerated by Ruiz and Fury nearly lost to Ngannou, the shine has completely left it, IMO.
When you start saying stuff like this, it makes me wonder how further the reaching will go in order to boost the greatness of Usyks victims To say ALL of them weren't apart of Furys era is utter delusion. Cmon, you're better than this. Hrgovic and so many others that Fury failed to fight were in the top 10 before usyk/joshua 2 was even signed and yet Fury did nothing but fight the same guy 3 times, cherrypick Otto Wallin and Schwarz who weren't anywhere near the top 10, cherrypick Chisora a THRID TIME !!! Francis as well and immediately retired following his defeats. So in long story short, after unretiring post Klitschko which happened 10 YEARS AGO, Fury ducked the top 10 apart from shyte who got banjoed by a senile povetkin and a trilogy with the same 1 trick pony, before losing to Usyk and retiring so he doesn't have to lose to anyone else. Yeah sounds about right. Do you want me to list out everyone that Fury failed to fight before Usyk became a threat ?
Usyk beating those guys doesn't preclude him losing to Opetaia or Kabayel. I'm sorry you don't like to hear that. Why should anyone accept him being better than them without fighting them? If he's so great prove it. Hilarious you think you can dictate who is part of the conversation
The Itauma crowd is a bunch of sophists. I've never seen a fighter get so much credit for beating bin men and laundromat workers, and "win" theoretical match-ups as if they really happened. They act like he's already world champion. Insane. He's a grifter.
