I dont see it being any different. The biggest difference now is Fury knows Usyk can hurt him.

I'm not overly interested in a rematch, tbh. Just as I wasn't interested in an AJ rematch either ... I thought Usyk beat both of them fairly clearly, with no real need for a return (although, granted, Fury did perform better).
Personally I would prefer to see Usyk retire or, if he does continue, fight someone else. And it would be good to see Fury v AJ to decide the number two.
I guess I can understand the position that Fury's performance in fight 1 justifies a rematch, even if I don't agree. But I definitely don't think Usyk owes him one, morally, after how much Fury messed him about.

i thought the same. these guys are mid 30s already. your body needs several months of healing from so many months of camp, topped off with a difficult damaging fight. you can heal much faster in your 20s.

Few more months to recover, but probably not quite enough. Needs a year out, really.
Still, this gives him a better chance in the rematch.

Fury always says a lot of things. He 100% had a broken nose and 100% had concussion. He took quite a lot of shots. Zero chance the fight happen at October. And not just because of Fury if we are to be fair.

Usyk has done almost a year of camp, 9 months or so, cause of Fury messing around. So he needs to rest quite as well.
Usyk was overtrained and overburned and after so many emotion and the hard fight, he could barely walk. He also 100% have some old injuries to heal.

Though i think November would have been a better date. December is far too long.

I just hope IBF done their job and strip Usyk. 4 year or so without their mandatory getting a chance is ridiculous.
And they delayed the fight, and could be delayed even more, as injury can happen to both.

Do you even believe yourself or ? Fury has always been lazy in the ring, outside as well. He is always dropping his hands when throwing punches. This ain't fixable at this stage, as if it was he would have already fix it.

But you are looking from the fanboy(saying that in a good way) perspective.
He was caught every single round by a good punches. It wasn't just Round 8 or 9 beating he took.
He eat quite a lot of flush Right hooks and Left straight and Left Hooks in almost every round.

The reason he actually took a lot of them, was cause he was on the back foot. If he decides to be more aggressive, and be on the front foot(Usyk has to allow him as well), the punches will have a greater effect on him, and he will go down easily.

So Fury had 2 options to try and improve on the style he was in the first fight and try to do the same or similar. Or try to comes swining, like in WIlder 2. But Usyk, even at 38 years old is not Wilder.

He can give 10s of millions to Ukrainian defense or post-war efforts while having a good time doing what he loves. Why retire?

This is true. But what everyone, including you fail to see is that Usyk was miles better in AJ 1 and 2 fights. He was 34 and 35 years old. Huge difference to being 37.5 years old.

What people don't get, and this is universal when it comes to athlete and can be seen in any sport. Most start declining in age related attributes, cardio/energy, speed, footwork, reflexes, reaction time, after 32-33. The process starts slows at first, but when you hit 35-36, that process increase rapidly and you can age out overnight as it's the phrase.

It's one thing being a fanboy, which i admit i'm of Usyk, but i can clearly see how much he has slowed down. His upper body movement, and side to side movement was literally 20-30% of what it was to AJ 1, where he didn't stop moving at all.
Hell AJ 1 and AJ 2 fights was played even of a higher pace.
Usyk speed is clearly a lot worst, footwork nowhere near what they were, just compare to 2 AJ fights.
But his punchout goes down from 600-700 punches to around 400 in the Fury fight.

And even if we fair, as neither of the both AJ 2 fights were scored correctly, Usyk won all of this fights in 9-3, 8-4 at worst fashion. But he scored a KD and was robbed of a KO against Fury, while being 3+ years older in the Fury fights.

And the only question for the rematch is, how much declined Usyk will be further.
While Fury attributes maybe on decline, though he is still 35, and is 19 months younger than Usyk, Fury has a lot easier time, cause his style is all SIZE related.
He doesn't need to overcome 19cm. reach, 16 cm height, and 40lbs of his opponents advantages.

And let's not forget judges/referees will still be on Fury side, as AJ - Fury(never going to happen, as Fury will duck the fight, but he will pretend he will fight AJ), would be million time bigger if Fury wins.

Respectfully I do understand that Usyk is getting older and is declining. That is one of the reasons I would like him to retire. There seems to be a general feeling among some fans that heavyweights can keep going, into their late 30s and beyond. But I can tell you, as someone who is older, that your body doesn't do the things it used to! So I am always in favour of fighters retiring two fights too early than one fight too late.
