Usyk vs Gassiev 2

No it would be a terrible fight Gassiev is not even a top 20 Heavyweight and just lost to Wallin recently for crying out loud.

As I've said multiple times unless Usyk wants to fight Parker he should just retire and let the top contenders fight it out for the vacant belts.

No one wants to see anymore pointless rematches or silly fights like this we had enough of that with Fury.

 

I think he would stop him sooner than that tbf probably middle rounds.

1. I'm not sure fights between Ukrainian and Russian fighters right now is a particularly smart idea. I don't think one has took place since the war (correct me if I'm wrong).

2. Gassiev is likely finished. No one who lost to Otto Wallin 2 years ago has any business being near a title shot. Wallin is just awful. Yes, I know, Wallin gave Fury a fight, but that's more to do with Fury and his tendency to underestimate opponents (ie, Ngannou). He still won clearly, unlike the Ngannou fight, and had two massive cuts to contend with.

3. I adore Usyk but please, NO more Usyk rematches, for the love of God. I need to see Usyk fighting fresh faces before I spontaneously combust, particularly at this stage in his career.

 

People need to get over Gassiev.

Stick a fork in him. He is done.

 

7 fights in 7 years, and he lost to Wallin... I don´t see how he can turn his career around at this point.
He is returning to the U.S. for his upcoming fight, maybe this will help, but I doubt it.

Age is on his side for sure, but inactivity keeps killing any momentum he tries to build. He won his last fight with ease, and then took another 10 months off for some reason.

 

Gassiev may get stopped this time around.
