Usyk shuts out Gassiev with speed and skill = Usyk is the GOAT!

Fury shuts out much more skilled and experienced Wlad with speed, skill and awkardness = Wlad was worried for his wife, Wlad was shot, Wlad was gunshy, it was a fluke, Wlad was always crap anyway... The list goes on and on.

The hate is strong for Fury. Hope he didn't ruin himself, comes back and wipes the floor with the division.

Fry up Fury got huge praise for that win so what are you talking about? However that was 3 years ago & he's a blimp now who's fighting non entities. So why would the forum be all about Fury for his win over WK today?

Great win. Fury had the potential to dominate an era but he ate pies instead. Not our fault...

Fury didn't shut out Wlad. He won 116-111 and never threw more than 2 punch at time. Usyk was throwing 5-6-7 punches combinations against Gassiev all night long and won 120-108.

When a fighter with a big fan base loses unexpectantly, there are always excuses. Some are valid such as Wlad was old, some are not such as he was drugged vs Brewster or rubbing his legs made him weak.

Unfortunately there will always be fans that refuse to give fighters credit for valid wins. Some will imagine a robbery, others will concoct some other conspiracy, it's best not to give the looney tune fans any notice.

You can't compare the two. Usyk put on a clinic and shutout Gassiev in an absolute masterclass. Fury squeaked past Wlad in a dull affair, where he just about managed to outland Wlad in an absolute stinker.

These fights were completely incomparable and even then, Fury got enough credit for it.
He just threw it away, probably knowing he would get that ped ban, and just didn't have the mentality to catch lightning for a second time if he somehow didn't.

Wladimir Klitschko = beaten in his prime in just 2 rounds, by Corrie Sanders. Where Corrie Sanders landed more punches in just 2 rounds, than Fury landed on Wlad in 12 rounds.

Whilst Tyson Fury = needed 12 rounds to beat a shot, old, grandpa version of a 40 year old Wladimir Klitschko after he had already been brutally stopped in his prime over 10 years ago.

Ergo, Fury's win over Wlad = useless, meaningless, irrelevant and non-praiseworthy.

Whilst Usyk beat an undefeated Gassiev, along with Briedis in a tournament to become the undisputed champion in the cruiser weight division. Taking fewer fights than any past cruiser weight, or any boxer from any division needed.

That > anything Fury has done in his career. One win over a grandpa and shot Wladimir Klitschko means nothing because Fury didn't follow up on his victory. Whilst Usyk has followed up on his success and has consistently fought top opponents unlike Fury.

Well , Wlad is much harder to beat than Gassiev for starters , then there was other factors like Weeks not allowing Fury to land punches in the range circle and Fury having to deal with Wlads constant holding.
Those setbacks greatly reduced Furys output.

Gassiev is young and around his prime but Usyk made him look like an old timer who couldn't pull the trigger. Fury done the same to Wlad.

But Wlad was indeed an old timer then.

In all honesty neither win was all that great. Wlad had been shot for years, but with garbage competition like Pulev Wlad could've held the title until he was 50. Fury just happened to be the first young and talented fighter Wlad had fought, since the David Haye fight.

Also, Gassiev was never that good to begin with. He barely earned a decision over an old Lebdev, which isn't all that impressive. Lebdev late in the fight pretty much laid out the blueprint on how to beat Gassiev. Also he beat Dorticos, who has to be one of the most overhyped fighters I've ever seen. Dorticos was hyped as a dangerous puncher, but in both his fight with Edison Miranda, who wasn't good enough to compete at 175 anymore and Gassiev he was shown to be a weak puncher and have a weak chin.

He was the same age Mayweather was when he beat the Pacman. Maybe if he was as great as Mayweather he would have won.
