yeh im not sitting on the fence at all, glowacki is a top fighter, but the way he fights, i just think uysk will work him out early, avoid anything big and punish glowacki.
Can't wait. Usyk is such a talent, the man's boxing abillity. WEWT. He should blow past Glowacki here.
Glowacki's southpaw stance was a huge issue for Huck and Cunningham add in that he was far more aggressive in those fights than he usually is (he's usually a little more workman-like in his approach), those two factors help him immensely, now let's look at those matches without the KD's and KO. Huck was ahead on points, had dropped Glowacki once, and had busted up his eye, things were going south in a big way before he landed the Hail Mary shot. As far as the USS match, if you take out all of the KD's the match could have been scored a draw or even a loss for Glowacki, Cunningham was frustrating him throughout the match, Glowacki was never really able to get into a rhythm (because Steve kept breaking it) and Cunningham hurt him to the body late in the fight, and I think he was far more badly hurt than people seem to realize. Usyk is a southpaw, so no natural advantage there, and if Glowacki gets overly aggressive, the natural southpaw counterpuncher will behead him, no advantage there. Usyk will systematically disassemble him from round 1 to a 8th or 9th round body shot stoppage.
Let's hope its more Stevenson-Williams Jr. and less Lara-Trout, Saunders-Lee. Although personally I'm hoping its a chess match, because in a war, Glowacki has a slight chance. Although even in that scenario, Usyk may very well KO Glowacki cold with a right hook.
Any idea what time it is EASTERN? I hate the EE/Japanese cards (Because it's usually at awkward times). I suspect this will be around 4 eastern? Thanks!
I just can't believe Usyk actually took this fight in Poland. They might rob him if it goes to the cards. Didn't think this fight would be this soon. But Usyk has the talent to go far far far. Let's hope Usyk gets him outta there.
Its not going to make it to the cards. Usyk's power is being vastly underrated, he takes his time with opponents because he wants to work out kinks and perfect his craft, and he has that luxury, but when he has a point to make, he KO's them early. Think about it, it wasn't a big deal to most on here, but his KO3 victory over Johnny Muller message sent a subtle message about his power, Masternak no matter how hard he tried couldn't score the KO against Muller. He obliterated a guy that what most consider a top journeyman in Masternak struggled with at times and went the distance with, with absolute ease.
Thanks Russell, short concise summaries aren't always my strong suit, I usually work well in soundbytes or War and Peace, not much inbetween.
