Usyk vs. James Toney

I sure as hell wouldn't count out James Toney. When toney was on, he was ON!

 

If Dustin Nichols lost 500lb he might have a chance at cruiser too.

 

Bad style match for Toney, he excels more when hes the counter puncher against the aggressive fighter aka Toney vs Jirov.

Although Toney can still be an effective aggressor coming forward, I think Usyk's footwork and angles would be a little too much, and Uysk wins a competitive UD.

 

True very true. Remember how he beat the gifted and then undefeated Michael Second to Nunn. Shows exactly how Toney can deal with a fast skilful southpaw with great speed and feet. When Toney was on God help his opponents.

 

Nunn made Toney look bang average to be fair then got complacent.

 

Uysk all day long. Toney was at his best against bangers and after losing to RJJ and Montel Griffin he never fought a fighter that was faster than him or a mover. Toney a counter puncher at heart and that style is not effective against an athletically gifted intelligent fighter like Uysk.

Seriously? I was a huge fan of Toney but at cruiser it’s not a contest. Usyk toys with him and wins every second of every round. Easy money for Usyk and he would have fought Toney in James’ backyard. Compete domination Usyk.

 

I love Toney but Usyk wins handily.

 

Usyk should beat Tony, especially a younger Usyk.
A pre-Jones Toney would be tougher but still I'd think Usyk would win.
A blown up Toney no chance.

 

No Toney was an unstoppable force who got to him. You can’t dismiss what Toney did.

 

This, it wouldn't be close, at least an 8-4 fight if not worse.
