This ain`t fair for Usyk. Sorry but he needs to push and make them strip Joshua. Usyk is mandatory for like 2 years now, and he already give it a pass for Ruiz 2, and then Pulev, that was another mandatory. Usyk got to be a complete moron to stay aside, and wait like 2 more years, cause it will likely be that time, cause there will be 2 matches with Fury.
Not to mention its best for Usyk to make Joshua strip and fight Joyce for the title. First he will get more experience at HW scene, second he will be HW World Champion and will make history, and third he will have a title in the upcoming fight with Joshua, which will sell bigger, cause it will be for undisputed, and he will have more weight into getting more money.
Usyk and his promoter got to be complete morons to step aside for some cheap $, when ultimately he can make a lot more, not only money, but have a hand in the negotiation and not let everything in Joshua favor.

Well, I'd like to see Usyk-Joyce. I don't care what title is or is not on the line. I think Usyk wins by decision.

This is why those immediate rematch clauses are such a problem. Imagine instead of the snoozer of Ruiz II and the brutal mismatch of AJ-Pulev we got AJ-Ruiz then Ruiz-Usyk (Usyk dominates but he has to get in range of Ruiz's fast hands to land, so there's tension to the end) then AJ-Usyk.

In between Ruiz I and Usyk, there might be enough pressure for AJ to fight Wilder, Fury, or at least Whyte/Povetkin. More variety and higher quality I would say.

eddie kids, buterelo etc superstars of course..............
yeah, but both: pre covid Povetkin 40 y,o and Usyk most likley looked more dangerous than Pulev.
And A.J had fight with Parker where ref together with A.J had defeated Parker. Otherwise A.J had been DEFEATED THEN.
I don't think that A.J is worse than Parker, most likely better but then he was hometown cash cow protected kid in hometown kinder garten vs Parker to get a win.
    Shame not boxing fight.

There's nothing fair about the "WBO interim title". It's a POS that disgraces the sport.

I think Joyce would be a great intermediate step for Usyk before AJ (or Fury).

The WBO ruling that makes the champion in a lower weight class the mandatory when the move up is the issue here. Dispassionately, Usyk simply hasn't done enough at heavyweight to justify being the mandatory challenger. However, as he is, he shouldn't give up that position without a fight.

The problem for Usyk is that if he pushes too hard, he can get the WBO title but he would have to defend it against Joyce or Parker before any fight with Joshua/Fury and there is a reasonable likelihood that he loses that fight and therefore a big money fight against who everyone regards as the "real" heavyweight champion. There is also no assurance that the winner of Joshua/Fury fights Usyk as they may be so annoyed at being robbed of the chance to be undisputed that they vow never to fight for the WBO belt again.

The question for Usyk is really does he want the money or does he want the title. If he wants money, he needs to wait for Joshua/Fury to be decided. If he wants the title, he can simply make the WBO enforce his fight and the WBO will lose money from not participating in the Joshua/Fury fight. If the WBO really wants to make a statement (a stupid one at that) it should strip Joshua of the WBO before he fights Tyson and accept that they will go back to being regarded as a second class world title.

I'm happy common sense prevailed and I lol at disappointed Usyk fanboys.

usyk has done **** all to deserve a title shot SO much that a ****ing undisputed fight should be put on hold for this ****.

Witherspoon and Chisora wins are not proof of anything.

AT LAST BOXING PREVAILS AND THE FANS ****ING WIN!!!

An undisputed fight should always be the priority.

    Why to be disappointed?
All pro boxing is entertainment industry. Clients should be entertained and get their hero to see as champ.
Pro boxing is just entertainment industry and entertainers bringing more money does have more " common sense ".

I will tell what stuff for me is pro boxing org belt: entertainer's belt under org a or b.
It is entertainment industry for us. To gave us entertainment.

Maybe 6 or 7 belts as the IBO , Ring Magazine and Lineal titles will also be on the line.

    Rules are rules.

Usyk moved up to Heavyweight knowing he would be mandatory for the Heavyweight WBO Title. He has had two fights at Heavyweight and his mandatory was due months before but Joshua fought his IBF mandatory instead.

I don't think this is fair on Usyk, but I don't mind, I want to see the Undisputed fight.

Your opinion doesn`t make sense at all. Your points are just nonsenses.
Why would Usyk be afraid to fight Joyce, a guy he literally destroys. Usyk will beat Joyce and Parker, that is for sure. But Usyk is on decline, it was clear in Chisora fight. If his team decide to wait like 1 more+ year, he will be even more on the slide.
But let me destroys your nonsenses points. I already did with the first, so call problem.

Why would Joshua/Fury be annoyed if Joshua is stripped ? He was already given a past. And now he want to fight 2 more fights. Ain`t going to happen. But let me get back on your point, as they get annoyed and they won`t ever fight for that belt, just wow.
At least Joshua goal was to became an undisputed, that we don`t see for long time. Also Usyk fight will be huge, even more huge if Usyk got the title, simply because will be another unification.

And your last point - money.
Yeah they will give Usyk some money to step aside, but that is nothing, compare to what he could ultimately gain if he held a title in the negotiation.
    - First he will gain way more money if the fight vs Joyce is a title fight - there will be more interest and ofc more money.
    - Second in the fight against Joshua(lets keep his name, cause he is the champion of that belt atm), he will have way better hand, than just being mandatory, and get some little piece of the junk. As a belt holder, and a title that Joshua will want, cause he wants to be unified HW Champion, he will get way way way better payment, as well as not letting everything goes in Joshua favor in the making of the fight, aka ask Parker, who was screwed twice, against Joshua(he would have lose anyway), and was robbed against Whyte.
    - Third and most importantly he will gain more experience with more fights at HW. He will also make a title defence to his title, cause Joshua will have at least 2 fights with Fury. This mean even more money for Usyk, cause at the very end he will be World Heavyweight Champion. Also and most importantly he will make a history become a HW champion, which was his ultimate goal.
    - Forth and lastly - if he doesn`t push for the strip, he will get some low money to step aside, he will earn way less in his upcoming fights, will have zero power in the negotiation with Joshua, will get less money from the fight, and most importantly will not be a HW champion.

So pls someone come and tell me how exactly is a good business for Usyk to step aside ???
When your making points, at least think at them before typing them.
