I feel against Wlad he needs to get him out early. So he's reliant on sharp counters to hurt Wlad early on. The longer it goes, the harder it will be.

Vitali I see him out boxing over 12.

 

Usyk was better than 2015 version of Wlad. I don't know how it would be earlier.

 

Tough fight. Would pick Wlad by bear hugging decision! Vitali on the other hand would knock out Usyk.

 

Interesting fight. Wlads jab would be much better than Joshua's. Wlad would get hit less.

Either could win that fight. Prime Wlad vs Prime Usyk would be very interesting.

 

Klitschko

 

Wlad did not struggle with smaller fights. Wlad via UD or mid to late TKO. Usyk makes it awkward early (maybe bags a few rounds).

 

Wladimir Klitschko has to be one of the most overrated boxers in memory. He never beat anybody as good as Usyk and his marquee win may have been David Haye. He reigned over old, short, blown-up cruiserweights and no-hopers. He was also sparked by mediocre opposition and he was outclassed by Fury and defeated. by Joshua (although he was old and inactive in this one).

The truth is that it is probably competitive but anyone in their sane brain must side with Usyk. He's clearly better than Klitschko, no matter how the nostalgics spin it.

Vitali, on the other hand, is a different story.

Usyk is not Brock, Haye, Mormeck, Leapai, Chagaev, Pianeta, Ibragimov, Pudding Pulev etc.

 

I think Vitali would pound Usyk though due to style. Vitali could box but was far more aggressive. His aggression would catch Usyk eventually.

I see Vitali getting Usyk out by KO in 6 rounds.

Wlad vs Usyk is 50/50..

But remember we shouldn't be crawling inside Usyk's ass just yet.

We'll looking foolish he gets beat by Joshua in his next fight.

 

A.J already looks foolish if compare these statements with reality:
A.J had beat Wlad era leftovers in Takam, Povetkin and Pulev, their older versions.

 

Boxers who went over 6 rounds with Vitali: Obed Sullivan (9) Chris Byrd (9, lost) Timo Hoffman (UD12) Ross Puritty (11, cut) Larry Donald (10) Corrie Sanders (8) Danny Williams (8) Sam Peter (8) Juan Carlos Gomez (9) Chris Arreola (10) Kevin Johnson (UD12) Albert Sosnowski (10) Shannon Briggs (UD12) Tomasz Ademek (10) Dereck Chisora (UD12). Vitali would have a higher chance of being stopped on an injury or a cut than he would have of stopping the extremely durable, fast, agile, fit and defensively skilled Usyk.

Vitali had a lot of problems with the small slick southpaw Chris Byrd, who won 2-3 rounds on my card as was the consensus. The same Byrd who was dominated and brutalised by a young and inexperienced Wlad in his next fight and frequently had to rely on controversial decisions to beat mediocre heavyweight contenders. Therefore I conclude that Wlad was better than Vitali at dealing with a fast, skilled southpaw sub-HW, Usyk is levels above Byrd and was reported to have given Wlad "the business" in sparring and "twisted him up": a Wlad who had gone on to spar and fight the most good southpaw HW's of any HW champion in history. Wlad was more athletic, skilled, powerful and experienced than Vitali and vastly more than AJ. Usyk is a historically unique fighter who I would favour to beat anyone barring Fury.

 

Wlad had trouble with him in sparring but prime Wlad of 10 years ago I would not bet against.
