Hahahaha!!! Holy ****!! That's the first I've heard of the Pac mom story but that's hilarious! I do remember Moorer being a dip**** to the media constantly.
Completely ridiculous post... You can make a solid case for Moorer winning sure, but Moorer never stopped anyone worth their salt at HW, Bean and Schulz took him close and Botha was extremely competitive until finally being stopped in the 12th round(these guys are all small heavyweights like Moorer- and Usyk is actually probably bigger!), not to mention his struggle with journeyman Bigfoot Martin... I would counter that based on Moorers lack of power at HW, and close fights with mediocre opponents that Usyk at the very least go the distance in a close and competitive fight, and in all honesty has a great shot at winning.
We will see what Usyk does in the future to determine this, so far he is not worthy , period. He has some work to do to even fill Moorer shoes let alone beat him. I'm not giving guys undeserving credit like you guys do. That happens a lot on this forum and if he loses to someone these guys don't like they go from praise to calling the same guy a hype job.
Who is "you guys" and answer this.... How highly do you rate the likes of Vaughn Bean and Axel Schulz? Both went the distance with and gave Moorer absolute hell, losing on the cards via MD and SD respectively. Schulz was already known at world level for his close and controversial fights with Botha and Foreman, but Bean was an unheralded fighter, completely unproven and only 23 years old... Moreover, what do you think the likes of Mike White, Everett 'Bigfoot' Martin, Shot James Smith, Mike Evans and Melvin Foster did better than Usyk that enabled them to go 10 rounds and last the distance with a prime Moorer? I'm simply playing devils advocate here and wondering why you dislike Usyk so much, considering you think it's a given that Moorer stops him despite the fact that he went the distance in 10 rounders with journeyman and shot fighters, and was competitive with mediocrities like Bean and the game but not elite Schulz.
That often repeated sentiment is nonsense from the HBO tale of legendary nights episode. That fight was plenty competitive before the KO.
B Usyk has gone the distance with mediocre Micheal Hunter and is only 12 fights in. He has a long way to go and so many better guys to face in order to be in the same conversation as Michael Moore.
I've never argued that, Moorer has achieved far more than Usyk and I've long been a supporter of his inclusion to the HOF based on his leap to HW from a successful stint at LHW to becoming the top dog(albeit extremely briefly) at HW after beating Holyfield that alone should gain him entry, he also has a few solid and underrated wins like Schulz, Botha and Jirov later in his career... My point is you are underestimating Usyk in saying that Moorer knocks him out and that there's no way this would be competitive, as I said earlier Bean was unheralded and gave Moorer a really tough fight. Who do you consider more accomplished, Usyk now given his incredible amateur career and current run at CW, or a green 23 year old Bean?
Moorer was a beast at 175. Looked more impressive than Usyk. Can't say who fought better op, but Usyk is damn good too. I can only go by accomplishments. Usky needs more fights against better op. If he gets better or looks impressive against better op my opinion could change. Right now I'd go with Moorer.
The "Not Worthy" **** from those people is hilarious isn't it?! Lol! Olympic Gold medalist (Something Moorer Never Accomplished) and broke Holyfields record to the fastest title at Cruiserweight. I bet he thinks that POS Shakur.. Shaqwan.. what ever his name is Stevenson is worthy and the next star Lol Too Funny THEM
Mayweather? Ward? Wilder? Crawford? Broner? And all these threads are made by the most prejudice guys on this forum. Type those names in the search bar and count them and see if I'm lying Damn. Absolute destruction.
No doubt! Usyk was also World amateur champion and multiple European champion and has that record for fastest CW title like you pointed out but we cannot even discuss a hypothetical match up with Moorer because Usyk is "not worthy'!
Usyk would out box Moorer. You will never read anything good about an Eastern European fighter in America, they will always be cheated if possible............
Not being funny but, I give the edge to Vaughn Bean to be more competitive. Bean was always a HW with great power and he even took Holyfield to the distance in their fight so even Bean has accomplished more in his career losing to these 2 guys than Usyk has done winning amateur bouts. There is no such thing as a "GREEN" professional fighter with nearly 30 fights. That's an excuse tool that networks and spin doctors made to excuse a fighter who loss. If you lose the other guys was just better, period.
