I think this fight will only happen

if the belt is on the line

Probably reasonable, though if there is a belt on the line Chisora will probably get the nod for it.

I get why people don't believe him, as their is so much lying and deceit in boxing. Parker seems to be a pretty honest guy though, and even if he is not, kudos to him for that excuse. I believe him though.

Parker is a real disappointment. Just never seems like he reaches his potential - or maybe he has and the ‘meh’ performances are what we can all expect from him.

Where as Usyk lifts his game when he faces top level guys. Usyk would embarrass Parker.

Yeah, he really raised his game fighting Tomatoe can Witherspoon who even in his prime was a Tomatoe can.....Usyk has NEVER faced a live body at Heavy...end of.

BTW, the tame Samoan is done on the top level.......if you cannot get by the walking no talent Heavybag Whyte your goose is cooked.

    which changed the entire fight

I don't have a lot of expectations of Usyk at heavyweight.
I think he won't do as well as people think but I like him..so I'd be happy if he does, just not confident he will.

Even an 80% Fury beats him 99 times out 100.
If Joshua can get back mentally to what he was I don't think Usyk beats him.
He has a better chance against Ruiz and Wilder but it remains to be seen how his body and reflexes go at the higher weight against a legit dangerous heavyweight.

I think Parker can beat him. He couldn't sleep walk through it though, he would have to be on point.

If I could play devil's advocate for a second.

I didn't take a lot out if the Witherspoon fight. It didn't strengthen or weaken my position on Usyk at heavyweight.

He starts slow against even mediocre opposition. That's just how he do. I can barely recall him ever winning a first round, against anyone.
He don't win fights with power. He didn't do that at cruiser, or the amateurs...I'm not sure what people expect him to do at heavyweight. If anything he will shift more to point scoring and pecking away to win fights.
So the fact he took so long to get Chazz out of there doesn't surprise me.

He trained to fight a completely different fighter...completely different to the passive trap setting veteran.
Spong is an unorthodox offensive machine who would have pressured Usyk from the start.
Obviously they trained and developed a strategy based around that..so the 1 weeks notice can work both ways.

I don't care one bit about the vacant WBO belt at hand. It would be the sort of fight Usyk needs to stamp his place. It does much more than Chazz or Chisora.

I notice Usyk wants Chisora next - but not for the belt

Parker would be a far more credible fight than Chisora.

Man, Parker's team is full of idiots. They now say that Chisora is ducking Parker, just because Chisora wants Usyk next..

Maybe they forgot Parker ducked Chisora already twice (12 weeks of training camp was not good enough for their fight in April, and he pulled out of the October fight due to a spider bite, but was already seen partying a couple of days later with Tyson Fury in Vegas)...

Parker needs to prove himself first before he can dream of the big fights.

True but that fight is predictable.

Parker has a style to frustrate Usyk and who knows ?but Usyk takes a 12 rounder UD win.
