I can't wait to see that fight, the good thing is that both of them want that fight, I doubt Usyk will just retire if he still has enough in the tank and we've seen that he does, Parker is great, big and strong, it will be a fantastic fight and let's hope and pray that the fight happens.

You need to understand boxing from a casual lamen or casual sports fan perspective which is the audience King Turki wants to attract. Usyk now should be top draw top of the card big money but Usyk Parker doesn't generate the interest....and real boxing heads won't be that interested in this fight either, Kabayel is more interesting but even him...Usyk is boxing his socks off.

Whilst Usyk has life in him he will now pick the fights that interest him which may be Parker....but Turki gets the final decision. Maybe they can make that bout end of year on a lower key Saudi card, who knows I don't know what events Turki has planned but I do know they like the UK market and on paper they have known fights which will generate the interest they want, sadly I don't believe Parker Usyk in the UK is one of them....unless they get an AJ Fury type fight as the co-main but do you see that? Fury & AJ arn't co-maining that because they'd expect more money than Usyk & Parker!!!!!

Kabayel would be a more interesting opponent stylistically imo.

    And Kabayel isn't being overrated?!

They're regularly being put into the same sentence as equivalent... Just look at their resumes - Parker's done far more for the level of respect he's being given.

Maybe... But there's a plethora of reasons Kabayel will have to get in line - and should have to.

Parker has more draw, a deeper resume and Usyk would have drop a belt to skip him... Plus there's far more legacy value as well as more money in beating Parker.

Kabayel would represent less money and a gamble in terms of how it would age - won't be at all surprised if he doesn't get a shot until Usyks gone.

It makes sense but it's probably going to look like a less competitive version of the Fury fights. Usyk can fight whatever top 10 contender that he likes.

He's younger, his style is better suited for a fight with Usyk...

Parker not too long ago got smashed by Joe Joyce...I just don't find a fight between him and Usyk that tantalizing...

Usyk vs Parker is not a competitive fight.

Especially this 270 lbs version of Parker that will get tired after 4 rounds.

That doesn't mean that he doesn't deserve the shot though. But it's not an exciting fight at all.

Kabayel's less than a year younger - it's easy to forget he's been around for ages, because he just hasn't been relevant (and wouldn't be now if he hadn't beaten Zhang)...
When mooted as a Joshua or Fury opponent a couple of years back he was considered a bit of a joke - that shows you just how fast a reputation can change.

Parker got smashed by Joyce because he fought dumb - he tried to go chin to chin with Joyce and slug it out... That's not how Parker fights best, it was totally the wrong approach.

Ultimately, though, I don't think either of them has much chance of beating Usyk - Kabayel would probably have a slightly better punchers chance, though with Usyks excellent chin and ring IQ he'd have to be lucky...

Parker deserves it more based on recent form, resume depth and relevance - if Parker lost and immediately retired there's already enough behind him that it'd have legacy value... The same can't be said for Kabayel, who'd come to be seen as a flash in the pan if that happened, IMHO.

For some boxing fans, a tactical matchup of skill (Usyk) vs skill (Parker) is more interesting than the skill (Usyk) vs brute strength (Dubois).

It's the difference in levels between Usyk and Parker that doesn't make it exciting for me. I don't see how Parker can trouble Usyk at all.

If not for Parker being 5 years younger I'd have no doubt Usyk beats him. I want to see Usyk fight Kabayel, Hrgovic and some untested guys. Parker is WBO interim champ and earned his shot but I have no interest in this fight whatsoever beyond a routine title defense. Usyk hasn't had routine title defenses and he should but if they don't fight I don't think people will be asking in 20 years "why didn't Usyk fight Joseph Parker".

Parkers like Whyte a few ago 2x champ with the interim belt. He'd earned a title shot and had been waiting for one for forever but no one expected him to beat Fury. He was just the guy in line Fury was supposed to fight.
