It's always hard to predict a fight when Wilder fights, opponents mostly dominate Wilder until Wilder catches them but I still think Usyk is too much for Wilder given his great skillset and moves to frustrate Wilder, but when it comes to Wilder there is always that punch that puts the opponents to sleep...
Perception is a weird thing. Actually, Wilder has fought 44 times, and he's been down on the official cards two times when the fight ended. That's it. Wilder beats Usyk. Nobody who Wilder outweighs can stand up to his shots. The last guy Wilder fought who Deontay outweighed lasted 26 seconds. Wilder was in the same weight division as Usyk and Briedis and those guys when he was an amateur. They all turned pro at heavyweight, then Usyk and Briedis bailed and went down to cruiser because it was easier fighting guys in their own weight range. And Wilder stayed at heavyweight. And has mostly destroyed guys who outweigh him by a lot. I hope Wilder and Usyk fight one day. I hope Wilder and Briedis do, too. It'll be jarring to people how hard they go down and stay down.
Chisora looked like the kind of opponent Wilder would blow away on 40 seconds and then this board would proceed to call it a cherry pick. What IQ does chasing a fighter faster than you in straight lines the entire fight show and how do you think Wilder would benefit from using a strategy that didn't work in the first place?
CW division at least is division where top guys fought each other frequently. While Wilder had only one supposedly out of shape Fury and 40 y.o Ortiz. As Wilder's fan you do not see this. You might sit here till death and insist that get a draw and beatup from supposedly out of shape Fury and not without difficulties defeat OLD Ortiz are better achievments, more difficult fights. Definitely. Sure.
Yeah, I still pick Usyk, and even more after seeing how much of a mess Wilder has become. At this stage who knows who Wilder is capable of beating? Guys who lose confidence in themselves often have a rapid drop off.
