Usyk is trying to fight the bigger man to prepare himself for rumbling with those giant heavyweights in the future.

I don't mind this fight too much TBH. Usyk hasn't fought in a while, and is coming off injury. Those are the times when upsets can occur, so you want to minimise that risk as much as possible. Hopefully Usyk shakes off that rust like a crazy eyed mongrel shaking off sprinkler water before chasing after the lanky whippet hound Wilder and the big slobbery Saint Bernard Fury.

If you have seen the weight in, you can tell that this won't be more than 2 or 3 rounds. Witherspoon looked like he wants this fight to be already over.

You had idiots on here claiming that Usyk was coming in at 225-230 down at CW despite the fact that Serge had already posted 2 of his CW fight night weights (207 and 208)

Witherspoon might beat spong even at this stage, and spoon's been active. Who would yall choose over Spong and Spoon?

To be fair Spong would probably beat his caboose. But it's a moot point because it seems like his power came out of a bottle, 80's 90's heavyweight style.

Did anyone notice that consensus top P4P Usyk suddenly dropped to #28 in boxrec's P4P ratings for some reason?
Still 6 places above other top5 P4P-er on regular lists, Inoue who's at #34 though.

No, it's because he is moving to the higher weight division. BoxRec will also deduct tons of points from Canelo after he weighs in for Kovalev fight. Canelo will actually lose a bigger % of points than Usyk did because he will be moving two weight classes higher. But when Canelo drops back to middleweight division again, he will get all his points back + point he will get from beating Kovalev (ih he manages to beat him of course). That's how BoxRec points system works.

Are you sure? Ok, maybe. But this is a p4p rating, not a HW rating, though...

Their P4P rating is composed authomatically from divisional rankings, you can see how much points Lomachenko had lost when he moved from 126 lbs to 130 lbs and then to 135 lbs.

He had 388.4 points after his last fight at 126 lbs, but BoxRec reduced his points to 297 when he moved to 130 lbs

THX! Usyk will probably win on points, maybe dropping him twice. I don't know if at this weight he can KO Chazz.

My heart wants the upset, even though that would hurt the HW division as I think Usyk will bring butts to seat and eyes to the tv. No logic in my pick totally emotional.
    I got Chazz upset SD!

I seriously doubt Chazz Witherspoon lasts the 12 rounds. In fact, I think it's more likely for Chazz Witherspoon to achieve a knockout victory than it is to lose on the scorecards. If Chris Arreola was lighting him up like a Christmas tree 10 years ago, I don't have much hope for him now. I think that Oleksandr Usyk could finish the fight in a few rounds if he wanted to, but I suspect he will want to enjoy some rounds.
