Usyk walks back 2-fights more. Doesn't know how long he's going on.

The Usyk haters are about as weird as the Canelo fanboys... Sometimes you wonder wether they are trolling and other times there is no question about it... Always with the money when Usyk has shown time and time again that he is about fighting the best. I don't think he got rich for fighting the whole top of the cruiserweight.

As a boxing fan I am happy for every fight with an appropriate opponent (and he hasn't had a pushover since his first heavyweight fight) of Usyk we get. If he gets a little slower but shows us how to negate that with intelligence and movement I am all eyes and ears! If he eventually loses and doesn't take his professional 0 home - my god how much I don't care. I will care a little bit for the annoying comments that will inevitably emerge putting usyk down for losing at 41 to a prime itauma or whoever.

I think in the long run one of the most interesting thing about boxing history is the full set of fights the best in history have fought. Admittedly Ali fought too long and the Holmes fight does nothing for his legacy as he couldn't show us mich of his craft anymore and took sad punishment. Jones similar. But we are nowhere near this territory with Usyk.

As it is, if Usyk simply walks away now he keeps his 0 (hooray he's the best woop woop) but we miss out on him showing us how he copes with losing more and more of his speed and stamina advantage and different styles and challenges under this new kind of pressure. Also we miss out on several upcoming fighters fights with him and how they do against this master fighter. These are historic times and some of us just wish for them to be cut off for us to be left without the top. Would also make heavyweight boxing just a bit meaningless for a while.

His actions are to meet contractual obligations and unify titles. He is one of the most honorable champions I have ever seen.

He's unified them and became undisputed champion at heavyweight. Why is he still fighting?

It's just shocking that "fans" don't value unification any more. I think it has to do with propping up guys like Larry Holmes and WladKlit who never attempted it. It's almost amazing that you will see people say that they only follow Ring Magazine ratings because of how bad the ratings organizations are, and then turn around and castigate a great champ like Usyk for favoring unification.

    Whatever.

Why doesn't he fight as an amateur then? Or he can train young boxers. Because he loves the sport.

Because professional boxing is another world to conquer. He's also planning some MMA fights, if you didn't know.

i thk his speed and workrate is slowing down also going heavy doesn't help in this department, i think he still has the skills to beat Dubois, although dubois will be using rough house tactics (headbutts etc) and has youth on his side.

Eventually he'll loose to father time, if he ,at some point, doesn't stop boxing

If you love sex would you choose to bang a prime Pamela Anderson or a homeless woman?

If the options are there you do what you enjoy and what benefits you the most

You're saying he's fighting for legacy, and i'm saying no, his primary goal is to get as rich as possible.

Look, everyone who boxes professionally is definitionally doing it as a profession. There is no argument, there. There is no doubt whatsoever that Usyk is staying in at this point for legacy and fighting those who who will increase his legacy IN HIS EYES. You may disagree with who they should be (I do myself), but his feelings are what is important here.

Usyk has said that he is staying in because he loves boxing, and would box every day if he could. Based on his actions of fighting the best to date in their own backywards, there is no reason to doubt him. None.

And as I said, if you didn't know, he is negotiating MMA fights, which he will undoubtedly make less money on.
