It doesn't matter though because AJ doesn't deserve a third shot at trying to best Usyk. Usyk has comprehensively beaten him twice on a deck heavily stacked against him the first time, whilst giving away huge physical advantages, and the only controversy in both fights was the one judge who scored a 9-3 fight to Usyk 7-5 to Usyk and the judge in the rematch who scored a 8-4 fight to Usyk 7-5 to AJ. AJ had two attempts and he failed TWICE. He threw his trainer McCracken under the bus after losing the first fight who was the scapegoat to blame for the loss, along with AJ ''getting the tactics wrong'' even though AJ said he knew exactly what to do and was going to do 48 hours before the fight and that he'd been studying a lot of Kronk fighters and was going to KO Usyk. Then he received an undeserved rematch and second attempt at trying to beat Usyk after enlisting the services of a new more ''aggressive style'' trainer and once again he failed. Apparently he got the tactics wrong again in that one too The reason AJ couldn't get Usyk out of there and wasn't able to land with his bombs like he usually does is because Usyk isn't a big slow behemoth who is there to be hit. He's a generational great who is very elusive and difficult to pin down, with elite boxing skills, defence, footwork, ring IQ, chin, stamina, and he's fast and faster than AJ is. Hence why AJ couldn't pin him down and failed TWICE at trying to beat him. They conveniently forget that Usyk hurt AJ with single shots too. There are still countless AJ fans on social media making excuses for both losses and not giving Usyk his credit. This Boxercise Ben trained AJ is ''the new AJ'' or ''the old AJ back again'' Just let me keep rolling the dice and with a new trainer at the helm each time and I promise you the right numbers are going to come up eventually If AJ had beaten Usyk once it would've been onto the next, AJ is the better man Ditto if he beat Uysk twice and Uysk would never have been given a third shot at trying to beat him in a million years no matter which new trainer he enlisted the services of Hell even if Usyk beat him and then AJ won the rematch it would've been done and dusted. Rivalry over, onto the next, AJ is the better man
Yeah, two failed attempts, one undeserved, AJ had everything stacked in his favour, neither fight close or controversial. Usyk won fair and square and proved he's the better man TWICE
Usyk is the type of person who would donate money towards Ukrainian war effort, as opposed to whores, blow and gold chains.
But but AJ's a changed fighter Kug's did you not see the demolition of the MMA fighter The only hope that AJ has is if Usyk ages over the next year and slows down drastically otherwise it's the same result and another post fight meltdown
Obviously a 3rd fight doesn't interest Usyk and who can blame him, but if the powers that be push for it they will need to pay him crazy money to motivate him to do so. Personally I don't want to see a 3rd fight, Usyk has already clearly confirmed his superiority. Even if Joshua were to win a 3rd fight it would simply be put down to Usyk being past prime, so it's a pointless fight.
Yessir. He would have beaten the top talent of this generation, maybe throw a thorough out boxing of Zhang in there. He cements his ATG status big time with what you mention here. (To me he is already top15 at Heavy)
Has there ever been a trilogy after the same fighter wins the first two? Lol... Totally unnecessary. Usyk should just retire. Gonna wind up tarneshing his legacy to someone he would have beaten a few years ago. Just be one of the select few that retire undefeated.
