Which is fair. Joshua has three belts and is the proven cash cow. Usyk has zero belts and is hard to market in a largely English speaking market where most of the PPV revenues come from.
Nobody bidding knows what the others are bidding. All Usyk has to do is tell everyone how much they offered, other promoters can adjust their bids accordingly. And Hearn will have to pay more knowing other promoters will likely do the same. BOTH fighters make more. And, if Hearn doesn't up his price enough, some Oligarch with a small weiner like that Saudi sheik overbids. Or ESPN does, since Joshua's contract with Matchroom is up this summer, too. And it would be easier to make Joshua-Fury over at ESPN with both fighters in the fold.
It would suck for Eddie if he lost the Joshua-Fury fight, lost the Joshua-Usyk fight, and lost Joshua all in the same summer. Damn.
But Eddie will have the Saudis funding him along with Dazn. I don't think it will go to purse anyway. Very unlikely.
Hearn can't afford for it to go to purse bids because he can't lose the Joshua-Usyk fight to another promoter. So Usyk has him. Arguing over the price also gives him more time to get in shape. Eddie's getting played by everyone.
Arum been in the game before Eddie been born lol lol eddie was so naive lol thought he could get it over the line loooooool
So yeah Triller, we can have Snoop commentary, Justin Beiber, Doja Cat Adam Smith stoned at rignside, Oscar smashed out of his skull calling "AJ" .... "AG" A slap fight, dwarf throwing and topped off with a celebrity fight. I'm buying it I'll pay DOUBLE, TRIPLE for that.
Yeah, he is cool for fighters but sometimes he too much undervalue his lads opponents and is dreaming that he is God. If they do not sign, then. I don't talk here about Usyk vs A.J where since A.J is a title holder and Usyk no, situation is different. Guess why eddie can't make Okolie vs Makabu or Briedis?
Usyk should accept the standard deal for a mandatory. No harm in trying to get more, but in reality, he is not worth it and Joshua's people know that. Joshua is the big name and the belt holder. Usyk brings next to nothing in terms of buys. I want to see the fight so my message to Usyk is take the basic deal, believe in yourself and bet if you win, then you dictate terms for a rematch and give the same low-ball offer!
