I imagine the title is the lure and if someone takes it off Dubois he'll do that to, but for now... This content is protected Note too that they said, "in this weight class," so cruiser still seems to be on the table.
Not another Usyk rematch. He really just loves a Pound Note it seems. But is there something wrong with the New Zealand Dollar?
It would be good to silence the naysayers, but realistically it's not a great idea at his age. Sometimes you have to cut your losses (in this case the 'imperfect' win) and walk away. The reality is that Usyk is superior to Dubious in every conceivable way, except that Dubious is significantly bigger. And that's a real issue. The massive size is largely the result of a similar program that AJ underwent during his 'development', but it's there. Furthermore Usyk is much older and past prime. On top of that, the Fury fights will take a bit more out of him. Eventually it will reach the point where Dubious may be able to legit beat Usyk in a fight, even KO him. Why give him the chance after already beating him as a middle-age man when Dubious had a stack of advantages? Then you have to consider that Dubious is the new AJ and so they will happily rob Usyk in the UK if the fight ends up close. Usyk, mate, leave it alone. It's not worth it.
That's a bad look for Usyk, so many years in HW, fighting only once per year and now most of the fights are rematches, why you want to fight a guy that you already beat ?
Personally I'd like to see him retire if he beats Fury again. Beterbiev at CW would be awesome but there's little to no chance of that fight taking place.
I'd love to see him beat Dubois again tbh. It removes any doubt from the first fight and it means he's shown absolute mastery over the only title holders of his HW reign. A win over Parker is nice, but not as nice as a win over Dubois. Hrgovic plus AJ is better than Zhang plus Wilde
I think it was planned. Usyk gave AJ and DDD the chance for the belt and now he is coming back to take it away again lmao
