Does he jump straight into a title shot? I’m pretty sure the WBO will be strict and order a mandatory defence which will mean Ruiz will have to vacate. Can we see them ordering Whyte (ranked 1) against Usyk for the vacant title? Usyk really had to get that Takam fight done, injury was terrible timing.
Usyk is not even ranked by WBO at HW. But guess who's #2 and #3? Fury and Schwarz. That means Bob Arum and Warren will be calling WBO pretty soon to make it a title eliminator.
