Usyk weighing in at 230 pounds!

    OLEKSANDR USYK has officially joined the big-hitters after reaching 16st 5lbs as he sent a chilling message to the rest of the heavyweight division.

    Usyk was the undisputed cruiserweight king before he moved up to heavyweight, where he has won twice.
    He is currently Anthony Joshua's mandatory challenger, but with the Watford star instead set for a bumper undisputed title decider against Tyson Fury in Saudi Arabia, he will instead will fight for the interim belt.

    And the man lined up for Usyk is undefeated Joe Joyce - who was beaten by masterful Ukrainian southpaw in the amateurs.

    AJ and Fury are both still in the star’s sights as he looks to conquer the heavyweight division - and he has now shown everyone that he is up to that task.

    Usyk posed for a video of himself topless in the gym on social media before climbing on to the scales to reveal his weight as 105kg.

    He then produced a bicep pose as a big grin appeared across his face before he sent out a menacing message to his new big boy rivals.

    The 34-year-old said: “What’s up heavyweight? I’m here.”

    Usyk does have the frame to carry that weight.

    Wonder if he will have a better chin (not that he has ever really been hurt as far as I'm aware) and more power.

    I'd still expect his movement and fitness to be A+ he just trains like a nutter

    Weighing 230 now isn't anything out of the ordinary.

    Id expect it.

    When he was at cruiser, he probably weighed near 230 in between fights too

    Weighing at 230 pounds. So what? He has a swarming style but doesn't have enough power to compete at the heavyweight division.

    I don't believe this puny Usyk can put on the extra poundage take the punishment from these huge behemoth's drop to the ground and crawl to the corner of the ring badly hurt!

    Lol just like Fury needed power when he beat Klitschko right ? power isn't everything. Usyk didn't need power when he beat Chisora easier thean Parker and Whyte did. You're just an idiot

    I am not entirely convinced that you have ever seen Usyk fight.

    I'm sure everything will work out fine for Usyk, as soon as the belt is vacated so he doesn't have to beat any defending champ for it.

    He was handed his rating. Hand him a belt, too.
