He looks a bit bloated around the waist at that weight.
Not sure what he's pleased about.

He beat Chisora who just got robbed versus Parker. I'd say he can more than compete at HW.

What if he goes on a diet of nothing but Mexican beef?

And he still stunned Chisora at one point. When somebody fails to knock out Chisora they get labelled feather fisted, as if Chisora is a glass jawed bum.

Usyk absolutely leveled Bellew. He can definitely hit hard enough to hurt heavyweights.

He was handed it by sweeping up the Cruiserweight division. I dont see anything wrong with that.

Anyone cutting down to 200 for cruiser is a natural 215-220 fighter so 230 is good balance for healthy muscle mass and speed recovery. But age is an issue, Usyk needs to move fast, in the rankings I mean. What's with his WBO mandatory opportunity or whatever?

Also, what's the latest on Gassiev? Always thought he's better suited physically for the weight but then all them injuries came.

Yes. He looks more bloated than anything.

He does not appear to be on the same weight gaining program that Evan Fields or Clenelo were on.

I admire Usyk's boxing skills and what he's accomplished as a boxer. I'm not sold on him at HW though.

Na, i think they might set up a fight with good old Bernard to determine a new champ

That legitimises a champion for sure

I mean Bryan just copied Wilder in doing so

Well, there are lot of posters who with pleasure use dual evaluation for boxers depending from boxer's origin and passport.
This is reality: when WBO had used the same rule for Crawford by giving him ranking immediately when he moved weight class up based on accomplishments in previous division and had handled him fast track to next title fights, no one in forums had to cry about this reality.

While if Usyk, who was 7-0 in World title fights with WBO World title on line and cos this had been ranked by WBO highly after he moved weight class up, then there damn, something doesn't likes.

If someone had get his Undisputed title with all major boxing orgs belts and The Ring belt with honest and very hard work by competing vs champions in their prime, this was exactly Usyk.
Most likely this had also " used " his resources reserve far more than his age on paper might had suggest.
It is not like to beat past prime old wrecks as a tickets seller in hometown.

I think he puts on the extra weight to help him tire less if anything, the extra 15lbs or so will help him in the clinch against big guys like Fury and AJ. He struggled and looked weaker in the clinch vs Chisora, we know Fury and AJ will try to rush into a clinch if they fight Usyk, if Usyk was 210-215lbs he would get tired quicker from all that weight leaning on him.
