Usyk: Wilder is the easiest opponent for me, Fury is the hardest one!

What do you mean by “refused shootouts with other punchers”?

Wilder doesn't know how to use his reach properly though. He frequently gets outjabbed or befuddled by feints and movement from shorter fighters because he's so clueless about any aspect of boxing that doesn't involve swinging your fist at an opponent's head as hard as possible. He's used to fighting at a weight barely 5lbs higher than Usyk, if that, but so what? He doesn't impose his weight on opponents the way a Fury or Pulev does, so it's hardly an advantage for him, and Usyk's size means he can roll with punches a lot better than static lumps like Breazeale or Ortiz who just take Wilder's punches full on, straight to the grill. If Wilder hits him it'll probably be with some short nothing punch that snaps his head back for a moment. I can't see Usyk standing still long enough to get hit with one of those big wind up right hands that Wilder likes to thrown from half a ring away, though I can see Wilder throwing plenty of those shots and falling way short of the mark.

Usyk can fight exactly as he normally does and beat Wilder. He doesn't need to be perfect for the duration of the fight, but just not take silly risks, or let Wilder load one up on him. I've never seen him take any such obvious shot before though, so I don't see why he's going to be open for one against Wilder.

If Usyk comes in weighing 230 or so then he's a blown up CW. If he comes in at 210-215 then he's just coming in at his usual weight minus weight cutting. Hopefully Usyk doesn't go down the Adamek route and try to bulk up with useless muscle that'll only limit his speed and workrate. He'll never match bigger HWs for power so no point trying.

And yet there's guys that had to get clipped quite a few times before Wilder stopped them. I'm guessing that Usyk is going to do most of the clipping.

If you look at his come up there aren't really any KO punchers on his resume. Personally I think it was Joshua's KO percentage that made him apprehensive to force his side to try their utmost to make that fight back when the fans started demanding it.

I agree with all of your statements and hope Usyk comes in light and agile at the new weight. I also think you are underestimating Wilder’s power. If he had boxing skills we wouldn’t even be having this conversation because he’d be unstoppable. The fact that he’s a really bad boxer gives a guy like Usyk a legitimate shot at winning. Wilder is flawed but very dangerous. He has good stamina as well and is dangerous in any round. I still favor Usyk but not as strongly as you do. One shot from Wilder could and probably would end the fight for Usyk or any HW. This is what makes it a great matchup. Cool contrast in styles. Boxer vs Puncher, a classic matchup.

I think Fury is a much safer and easier fight for Usyk despite the size difference. Fury looks really bad against southpaws, at least he did in his last fight. Usyk is much better than Fury’s last opponent and I think he will bust him up. The fight I want to see most is Ruiz-Usyk. Ruiz is a good boxer and can take a punch. He’s got a big fat body and would probably try to wear Usyk out by leaning on him and using his weight advantage. I like Usyk in that fight as well but it’s all speculation until we see what he can do versus bigger men who hit harder than the guys he’s faced. He’s going to get hit eventually and I’m curious to see how he handles it. For the record, Usyk is probably my favorite fighter in all of boxing. He’s so skilled and has a very high ring IQ. Excited to see how it translates to the big boy division.

Duhaupas took the kitchen sink against Wilder, even Szpilka caught a few right hands before going down. Usyk rarely stays still long enough to get clipped, and when he does it's usually nothing massive.

I think too many people are actually overestimating Wilder's power. If he catches you clean he can and will do damage, but he has to have space to land his money punch and Usyk isn't going to stay still long enough to let him land. It's an intriguing matchup though, and Wilder always seems to surprise me when I think I've got him figured out, so who the hell knows really?

Not easy to avoid a right hand for 12 rounds that if it lands wil turn your lights out. I agree he can and will outbox wilder i have doubts that he can avoid or take his power for a full 12. Usyk can be hit as slick as fury is he couldn't avoid his big power for 12 rounds either.

Usyk must first pass his monumental task ahead of him this Saturday against legendary Chaz Witherspoon.
Then, only then can everyone else tremble at heavyweight and Usyk crowned heavyweight king.

Wilder vs usyk should be easy to make since usyk is too small to be a threat to wilder right?

difference between fury and uysk is usyk is a proactive offensive fighter! fury is harder to hit and more awkward, but i dont think he punches accurate or sharp enough at the moment.

Witherspoons poses more of a threat to Usyk than Bum Squad because he actually has skills, smarts, knows how to box and he also has power and Usyk is coming off a long layoff, a serious injury, and it's his HW debut and against a very late notice opponent and let's not forget what the 40% inactive drug-ravaged muscle atrophied suicidal shell of Fury who literally hadn't fought anyone with a pulse in 3 years did against 100% Bum Squad in his backyard.

He's only really been in with one proper puncher in Ortiz and I wouldn't say he exactly spent the whole fight running to be fair
