It was a last second replacement, and witherspoon is nothing to shout home about. It meant nothin, nothing more than any of the other heavies he fought in WBSS. The Jury is out on how he can handle the top 20,15,10... Lets not even talk about the top 5, those guys aint walkovers like Chazz.
Fast starters are the most dangerous to Usyk as he likes to feel opponents out for a few rounds before turning up the heat. In that respect Wilder could be a danger man if he just tries to leap on Usyk and bomb him out. I think Usyk would weather that particular storm though and turn up the heat a lot sooner. Usyk's great at adapting.
fury won't beat usyk on points. old man cunningham was giving him a boxing lesson until fury laid on the forty year old enough to wear him out.
Besides being a master of technique, Usyk, after having fought vs. Bellew, seemed to be also a one trick pony, impression not confirmed vs. Chazz. I dont know maybe truely we have to wait for another bout to draw conclusions.
I think you will need a couple of bouts to do that. He is not a knock out artist tho, we can say that now.
I dont think he needs one punch ko power. What he does need is one punch "hurt you" power. Hes got to be able to crack hard enough to where if a guy gets hit solid he gets enough of a buzz that he realizes he problably doesnt want to take too many of those. If he cant do that guys are going to walk through his shots.
Said hurt not stop. But you already knew that but I see what you were trying to do. Nice try but come on bro!
Usyk will go no further than David Haye. He might grab a title from a weak link but against the BIG guys, he's too light to fight and too thin to win.
I agree with you. I think he can hit hard enough to keep guys honest as they say. It seems like he doesnt really set down on his punches.
Well if you want to tout that theory, Usyk was getting a boxing lesson by Tony Bellew until age and conditioning caught up with the latter.
