I agree with this, even though I put Fury 1 because of the manner in how h turned around a really bad run of rounds. But I rate the Breidis win really high, and think Breidis could really have gone on to be a top 5 contender at heavyweight if he had moved up at the same time.
Not to mention the height and reach advantage Fury had, very impressive, but yeah Briedis for me What a fighter Briedis was!
Fury 1. He had to overcome some adversity and proved he was the baddest man on the planet, beating an exceptional and bigger fighter. Briedis is close.
Actually, in my OFFICIAL top ten consensus wins so far poll, Hunter was tied for #10 in vote tally: https://www.boxingforum24.com/threads/usyks-top-ten-victories-so-far.731140/ Fury 1 9 Briedis 9 Joshua 1 9 Dubois 9 Gassiev 9 Fury II 8 Joshua II 8 Chisora 8 Bellew 7 Hunter 5 Glowacki 5 Huck 3 Mchunu 1 Worth noting that Hunter will finally get another go. He is going to fight Pulev for the WBA regular ol' title, the plan being that the winner fights the winner of Wardley-Huni.
I am biased towards AJ 1, because I watched it as someone who bought into the hype that he was too small. I remember being in shock from round 1 when he landed that first straight left, all the way to round 12. What a phenomenal performance. Totally schooled AJ and shocked a lot of people who bought into the popular narrative (at the time) that the 1970's guys were too small for today's landscape.
Fury 1 is probably right answer but Joshua 1 has an argument to being number 1 for a few reasons. 1. Joshua was a considerable favourite over Usyk. 2. The way in which Usyk beat Joshua in a very one sided fashion.
