It's so strange how people in this day and age see one talking point and run qith it until its a huge deal. "Fury needs to go to the body" is all I'm hearing cause usyk can't take them. Why? Cause dubois hit him low and he 5ook advantage of the clock and ref?? Joshua and dubois both hit him to the body and didn't have an impact. Also body shots are something that no one likes. I don't think it's a thing to completely focus on as looking for them as a man Fury size could open him up to becoming readable and the worst person to be predictable against is usyk. Thoughts?
Exactly, and most importantly... most of the ones tossing this line out, have actually convinced themselves that Fury hits as hard as Joshua and Dubois. The moment Fury starts going to the body, Usyk will punch with him and go for the chin. Therefore quickly taking the body punches out of the equation.
What? When AJ hit Usyks body all Usyk did was complain. And its complete nonsense that Dubois hit his "balls"... half an inch higher and its a KO (even thats subjective). Half an inch. Usyk doesnt like being tickled, its pretty simple.
Exactly right. I just opened a thread about the same issue. I also don't understand how Fury's suspect chin is not a subject of discussion. Unlike Usyk's alleged weakness to body punches, we have ample evidence that hurting Fury and putting him to the canvas is very doable even for much lesser fighters than Usyk.
That's simply a blatant lie. In their two fights, Joshua landed a total of some 50 power punches to the body. You are saying that Usyk complained to the referee 50 times. Why do those rooting for Fury resort to lying in such a manner? This seems to be a case of identifying with a celebrity, whereas pro-Fury fans often lie in debates because Fury often lies.
Funny there’s no Fury’s chin thread.. been up and down more than a whores drawers great powers of recuperation but he’s touched down 7 times now
Liar? PMSL..... https://www.youtube.com/shorts/LKgnaK77y88 - Low, but not balls. PAIN This content is protected - Straight to the ref for help This content is protected - and again Three examples there just against AJ alone. Want more examples? Theres quite a few in other fights too. Bertibiev crumbled him in the ams... Wanna see that one too??? And we've all seen the Dubois "Balls shot" lol. Whos the liar.
It's the only real noticeable weakness he's shown since the amateurs. Has taken headshots well whenever he gets caught, but has been down to body shots and does often complain when being hit to the body. The Dubois low blow was a fair call, but it definitely didn't hit him in the balls. and the way he almost immediately folded tells me that it wasn't just a case of him trying to buy time either, it genuinely hurt him.
No one likes taking body shots and maybe it is a little thing that usyk isn't as good as say fury. My point was that everyone since the duboos low blow has gone mental about it. Usyk beat up Joshua and dubois for pretty much 80 % of all three fights and got hit to the body let's not cry about it. Usyk beat them both up and left them both exhausted and yet if he us so bad at taking body shots then surely he should have been left beat up and exhausted
Furys chin is his weakness, for sure. And so his his old cut scar. Usyks soft to the body. It is what it is and it bodes for a great fight (hopefully).
That Dubois punch was barely low and it's a punch that a fighter with a sturdier belly would have shook off instead of rolling around the ring like he was on fire. Like it or not, Dubois was maybe three inches from legitimately knocking out Oleksander Usyk and becoming unified heavyweight champ. Dude does not like getting touched to the body and that's a fact.
A low blow isn't just when the punch hits the nuts. Anything on the belly button or lower is considered a low blow. So, I can see how uninformed viewers got upset when Dubois hit a little below the belt line and it was seen as low.
True. But for anyone to suggest that there is an imaginary line on Usyks midrif, where he is nothing but solid iron above, is clownish (not that you did)
