These people who still whine about the DuBois low blow are either the usual suspects or greenhorns when it comes to the sport.
What has always fascinated me about Usyk's body is how such a man and athlete fit into 200 pounds (90,8kg).
You do talk shite. I ****ing love Usyk. I just don't care what fighters are like outside of the ring. I'm not emotionally connected that way. It's in the ring that counts for me, that's all. You just hate that I think Fury edges him, and you absolutely hate that I was always right about the fight happening this year. My opinons clearly upset you. Soz. Now stop talking about me you weirdo
A weak chin doesn’t necessarily mean a fighter gets knocked out left, right, and centre, especially not when they have recovery powers like Fury. Think Michael Moorer, one of the weakest chins in HW history. He still managed to become world champion and got knocked out only three times, which is relatively low compared to how many fights he had in total. But when you have a fighter who gets knocked down by feather-fisted former CWs who are lighter than him by some 30-40 lbs and by a 37-year-old boxing debutant, as well as getting badly hurt by journeymen like Firtha... Yes, that has 'suspect chin' written all over it.
I don't think it's a special weakness Usyk has and there's a good chance there won't be a decisive bodyshot in the fight. But Fury is good at bodyshots for a HW, definitely better than average, and has visibly hurt three ranked opponents with them (Cunningham, Wallin, Wilder). So it does make an interesting little situation if Fury tries to sink some big ones and we see how Usyk deals with this tactic.
Fair comments pal, I do think that if Bakole and his trainer are saying this with such certainty that it is likely to be true and have happened in a proper spar, if there was some sort of mitigating circumstance, I feel someone from Usyks team would have dispelled it by now. I do think there is probably enough evidence to suggest that maybe Usyk has a chink their, whether Fury is good enough to do anything about it is another question though. The thing with Usyk though, is that he is so complete, that any kind of minute chink will probably have people making a bigger deal about it than they really should.
Going to be awkward when Fury simply beats Usyk to the jab edging rounds 1 & 2 which forces Usyk forward then he accidently walks into a right hand and goes down for the count in round 3. Ultimatly AJ failed because he's a bodybuilding bum who really doesn't know how to use his jab against anyone decent especially Usyk. You need to use throw away shots, come low high from the side. AJ is a plodding basic bum really. Fury will be throwing out range finders faking to the body, doing the ali shuffle. It's called fluidity. Something most heavyweights DO NOT HAVE.
That is something I have thought about myself before. Since Usyk has a very solid set of whiskers and was never even close to being in trouble after eating big shots, his body might appear weaker in comparison, and that gives people an ill-founded idea of his being exceptionally vulnerable there.
That, to put it mildly, is an amusingly romanticised idea of Fury's punching power. Remind me, when was the last time Fury knocked anyone down with a single right hand out of the blue, especially so early in a fight? It never happened. Fury was never a noted puncher—on the contrary. I remember how strange it was to see Wilder staggering around in the ring and Fury still not being able to stop him until the very end of round 11. Usyk took punches from Joshua and Dubois several times; his head was rocked back on impact after they landed cleanly on him, and still, none of those shots did anything to him. You attribute things to Fury that are simply not there and have never been there in his arsenal.
Ge Flash knockdowns doesn't mean you have a weak or suspect chin. That and the example you used has been knocked out 3x and Fury hasn't. Fury has also taken flush shots from arguably the hardest puncher in the division and survived over the course of three fights. Fury has flaws. His chin ain't one of em.
They wern't flash knockdowns though and Fury has also been decked by light hitters like Cunningham who's a Cruiserweight with less than 50 percent KO ratio, and Pakjic who only had 4 stoppages both fighters dropped Fury heavily and visibly hurt him. I would say his chin is somewhat suspect but he can recover well which makes up for it.
