Will it hold up at heavyweight? To me, this will be the telling factor in whether he becomes a HW great like Holyfield, or another guy like Bob Foster who just didn't have the mandible to move up!

    His chin is definitely solid.

Not sure. He hasn't shown any signs of mandibular fragility, but he's only had one fight at HW against a mediocre opponent. At cruiser it was clearly rock solid, but that doesn't necessarily translate into an iron chin at HW.

He fought a murderer's row of savage punching KO artists and legit bangers down at CW in his last 7 fights and his chin held up well against all those SHW behemoths he fought in the WSB some of whom were savage punchers at that weight.

His chin is better than Fury's who was dropped heavily by a light punching CW and he's never been dropped by a head shot, let alone dropped heavily and nearly KO'd by a Harold Sconier's level scrub.

Usyk fought HWs in the amateurs and in the pro game. Never showed any sign of weakness in there. Took flush bombs by Marco Huck, Tony Bellew and Michael Hunter. You can call Bellew overrated or whatever, but he has decent power. He fought big guys like Joyce, Majidov or Fa (legit HWs) in the WBS. Of course you can never rule it out at HW but he should be able to take a lot of good shots from those guys. Don't see anyone landing THAT clean with a right anyway.

The impressive thing with Usyk is...he fights differently.

Look at his fight vs. Bellew. He was very cautious at the beginning as he didn't know what to expect from Bellew, a legit sized CW who moved up to HW, how to rate his power and so on. After 3-4 rounds he knew Bellew couldn't hurt him and he went for it like a beast, was trading with Bellew and exchanging in the pocket and got the KO soon as he knew he had to do this because he was losing on the corrupt brit cards. Completly different fight vs. Gassiev. Gassiev was probably injured, yes, but Usyk wasn't risking anything. Gassiev is a stud and hits harder than most of the HWs (APPROVED by many sparring partners!) and Usyk was delivering a masterclass boxing performance, circling around pumping the jab winning 12/12 rounds dominantly.

Usyk always fights as good as his opponent is. You can rate his performance vs. the American dude at the weekend as "average". But you will see he is able to step it up a lot if he fights the world class guys. Usyk is like a chameleon. He adapts to his environment (Opponent).

Usyk won't stand up to Deontay's devastating power. He needs to forget about that foolish dream of holding the WBC belt.

Some of the hardest punches thrown at Usyk were in that Pedro Rodriguez fight. Pedro Rodriguez is nowhere near the toughest person that Usyk has fought, but he was winging some absolute wild bombs at Usyk. Usyk didn’t hide out in his high guard like we’ve seen him do in some of his more recent fights. Sure Rodriguez’s punches could be seen a mile away, but I think Usyk can adapt pretty easily to fighting against heavy hitters. His chin is good. If he were to fight let’s say Wilder, I think he’d change his style accordingly. Def wouldn’t fight him like he did against Gassiev or Briedes. Although they can pop too!

Really? The only person you can consider to be a big puncher that Wilder has fought is Ortiz who has only one notable win on resume against Jennings. Apart from that Wilder has avoided big punchers his whole career.

Whilst Usyk has fought the likes of Gassiev, Briedis, Hunter, Bellew, Joyce and Beterbiev.

Wilder has to land it first. Took him long enough to figure out Szpilka.

Besides, Wilder's power is something every HW needs to be aware of. That isn't Usyk exclusive

His chin is better than wilder and joshua, let's just put it that way.

No doubt. Both those guys have shaky mandibles. But both are HW punchers who can take people out with one shot too, even if, in Wilder's case it's old men and scrubs.

Breidies, gassiev and huck are imo real punchers and would be top 10 punchers at heavy, especially breidies and gassiev. Breidies knocked charr out cold and gassiev is famous for his one punch power.
Usyk took a lot of leather from breidies and he took a counter bomb from gassiev (,,he was definitely stunned against gassiev)

So his chin looks rock solid, but wilder with his one punch power and joshua, who is an equally big puncher, but more like wlad than like wilder are dangerous for usyk

Fury might have beaten Wilder by then, he got hit more by Wallin than he did by Wilder.
