Dont get me wrong hes no power puncher thats for sure. But at the same time hes far removed from Tevin Farmer or Chris Algieri.

Nobody who weighs over 200 pounds and possesses that type of speed is going to be hitting like a Paulie.

People keep saying that Joshua will simply walk through and corner him. First, Joshua is not a swarmer or pressure fighter. Hes actually risk averse. Second, when Usyk hits people it hurts. It hurts bad enough that nobody decides to walk through it.

So is he the type of the guy to go in there and beat the **** out of people? No not at all. But go ahead take a few on the chin. Watch the opponent back up.

The bizarre assessment that he's a featherfist stems from the fact that he couldn't stop Gassiev, Glowacki and Briedis three of the best chins in the sport of boxing, and evidently Hunter's is pretty solid too. Most fans are complete and total novices and casuals when it comes to the Cruiserweight division, especially his newfound chorus of agenda driven detractors, so their claims should be taken with a grain of salt, because most of them are literally talking out of their ass. His power is perfectly fine, its Thurman and Pacquiaoesque, while it might not be one punch, no one is going to try to walk through it any time soon.

Funny these clowns were saying how boxing is about hitting and not getting hit, how you dont need to knock out your opponent to win, but that goes out the window when you despise a guy for no reason.

He's not featherfisted, but he's not a hard puncher either. I think he COULD be but I feel like he opts more for lighter punches which allows him to throw more volume at higher speed and allow him to retain more mobility, nothing wrong with that, just his style. He does sneak a good shot here and there though and it gets guys thinking.

But yeah, he's very accurate and the damage accumulates so he's more than capable stopping a lot of guys. He's not stopping Joshua though.

But anyone who thinks that Joshua would walk through him, clearly don't know what they're talking about. Usyk is too mobile, Joshua's too safe, Usyk's defense is very good. It's not happening. If Joshua did stop him, it'd probably be from some chinchecking single shot.

He hasn't got a lot of power, but enough to keep Joshua from being careless.

If not featherfisted , then you can call him not a big puncher . I just don’t understand why maywether fans hate Usyk . I guess that’s mainly because of usyk’s skin color.

So Uysk is the next bandwagon to jump on for beating AJ.

If AJ wins again? Which he probably will. Where will the bandwagon go to next? Miller? Wilder/Fury winner?

I sometimes wonder if you are fans of boxing at all or just grumpy gits with nothing better to do.

22-0, Olympic gold, 4 belts. Deal with it.

Luis Ortiz because he beat Jennings who beat Dimitrenko.

I've heard Americans on these YT boxing channels claim that "Joshua needs to prove himself by beating Ortiz".

    Are you serious?

The North American HW scene right now should be renamed 'Bum City'.....Bar Wilder, there's nothing there even remotely close to Top 10.

Miller is going 12 rounds 'Calslapping' Gatekeepers....
Kownacki/Martin are proving themselves to be of a near indentical level - Domestic....
Washington looks like a guy entering a White Collar event....

Even the massively overrated Dubois would become the Number 2 HW over there if he was American.

Joshua haters been telling me im in for a rude awakening ever since he fought Gary Cornish and nearly every fight since. He beat a game Wladimir Klitchko and he beat a game Sasha Povetkin. If he can get past those 2 he has proven me is isnt no fraud or paper champion. Ive seen his flaws, you cant miss them and ive claimed myself both an Uysk fight or a Wilder fight could go either way so it wouldnt be that rude of an awakening for me, a fully fit Tyson Fury v Joshua would be a really tough fight, but not this weakened far from ready Fury that Wilder is desperate to face.

Isn't won't sit down on his punches at all IF he ever faces Joshua. Let's be honest here if Joshua land 1 on Usyk then it's game over. He Is just far too big for him.

He isn't feather fisted but I don't think he has the power to hurt Joshua with one shot. Wlad couldn't keep him down and Povetkin hit him a lot and couldn't put him down or even seriously hurt him, look at Joshua's neck, he can absorb a decent shot.

But power or lack of it won't be key for Usyk beating Joshua. He could be feather fisted and still pose the stylistic nightmares that he does for Joshua. Usyk is going to box Joshua not stand and trade with him.

Usyk is a masterful boxer, and does not set down on his punches when fighting dangerous opponents. He may very well have reservoirs of power we don't know about.

I love Usyk as one of the best scientific boxers that I have seen, but at the same time I admire Joshua a lot for taking on the best, and he does have a hell of a size advantage. I really don't want to see them fight, to be honest, because someone has to lose.

Wish Usyk could get Wilder instead, who he would defeat with shocking ease. But if all goes well, Fury will take care of that.

    Being pressure fighter suits AJ.
But Usyk wasn't pressure fighter against Glowacki or Gassiev, he was moving while they tried to pressure him. Usyk was moving for 12 rounds in each fights.

Usyk isn't a pressure fighter, he's versatile fighter with high ring IQ, and he will move against slower AJ

Exactly. And it was obvious he stunned Gassiev and Briedis a few times. Dorticos is regarded by some as a murderous puncher and he landed on Murat dozens of times without buzzing him one bit. In the later rounds Usyk’s shots had an effect on Gassiev to the point I thought he could get a late stoppage if he pressed for it.

Usyk will stop Bellew and shut a lot of people up.
