    Smoke and mirrors

Imagine if he does box orthodox, AJ would be so ****ing bamboozled, he's been preparing exclusively for a southpaw, obsessing over knowing how to fight a southpaw for 11 months, just for Usyk to box Orthodox.

    So much nonsense

    "Usyk is bigger"
    "Usyk might go orthodox"
    "AJ knows how to box"
"Tyson Fury is not the goat"

    give it a break

I feel like his game is being very good at what he's very good at and keeping the fight in that range. Adding a grab bag of tricks is very much an American boxing culture idea. See Teofimo Lopez going from Philly shell to cross guard, having not really mastered either, but using superior speed to get away with it.

But if ever there was a situation where Usyk should at least feint at something he didn't show in the first fight this would be it! Switching stances while halfway across the ring would just give AJ one more plate to keep spinning in his mind.

If the orthodox training has a serious intent, he might be expecting AJ to try the Canelo strategy of banging away at arms and shoulders in hopes of causing an injury. It's AJ's best chance, to hit anything or just to throw and help the judges justify giving him the round.

If Usyk's ready to switch he spreads out the damage and gives himself a Plan B if he suffers the Callum Smith injury.

Likely a psyche out to get in AJs head a bit. That said, Usyk is nimble, agile, and very coordinated; being able to switch and flow between the two is a good skill to have.

I seriously doubt hed fight out of his comfort zone in a fight of this magnitude. AJ is the one whos going to have to make adjustments.

Usyk just has to be Usyk and he wins this with ease. No reason to go orthodox. Only way AJ wins is if he hurts Usyk, but don’t see it happening.

He saw the success Whyte had against Fury and he’s changed his game plan last minute.
