Wouldn’t be surprised to see AJ 3 as his last fight. He’s gonna wanna make as much money as possible and AJ probably will generate that for him

Surprised the WBA hasn't stripped him yet for no facing the dangerous Kubrat Pulev, the WBA Regular chanp

Ask any boxing fan and make poll over 90 percent would agree it was a bad decision.

Those two fights would be perfect!
Winner of Dubois vs Parker is clearly the nr 1 guy after Usyk.
Zhang vs Kabayel will produce a clear nr 2.

Well, Fury is still out there, but I don´t care. Usyk has been his only top level opponent since the Whyte fight.

Remember, though, that this is literally the fifth plan he has given for his future. If he had decided, then I am glad for him, because he ought to get out when he is rich, healthy and undefeated.

I don't even think they recognize that as #1 contender any longer. Wardley is officially #1.

This is also the fight I want to see, but I guess he is going to do what he has to to be triple undisputed.

I like Jai, but at this point he gains nothing from it.

With 14 title victories, 10-12 of them against fellow titlists, and a good non-title victory against Chisora. Not a bad career at all.

My preference as well. I think he beats them both but they are just more skilled fights against more prestigious guys, and Kabeyel's hook to the body will make it a fun fight.
As long as he beats the winner of Dubois-Parker, I have no problem with him taking a low-hanging-fruit swan song fight. If anyone has earned it, it's him.

If Parker beats Dubois he is a two-time titlist. For context, Tim Witherspoon is a two-time short-term titlist, and is Larry Holme's second-best win. That's a win that could be a meaningful shore-up.

I have never understood this point of view. Should he hang around and have 40 more fights against the Lorenzo Zanons, Francesco Pianetas, Tex Cobbs, and Dominic Breazele's of the world and retire with Alzeimers or Parkinsons?

If he retires tomorrow, he's had 12 title victories, 10 of them against fellow titlists. If he pulls off his plan, he'll have 14 title victories, with 10-12 of them being against fellow titlists. It is TO HIS CREDIT that he has done what he has done with a handful of fights.

I don’t know why he wants two more. He only needs one. Beat the winner of Dubois-Parker. Nothing left for him after that. Kabayel? What’s the point? I don’t see Kabayel as having much of a chance. Zhang? Winning wouldn’t really prove anything, and that ****er hits so damn hard that he might well cause permanent damage (I can’t help but think of Ali-Shavers).

Beat the winner of Dubois-Parker to become undisputed again, retire undefeated and with his health fully intact.

    Yeah, two fights two many.
How is beating Dubious twice and an old Zhang going to add anything significant? People will act like they're better than Fury but they clearly aren't. Fury didn't get stopped by Usyk on a jab and win no rounds and he also wouldn't lose to Parker.
The only thing Usyk can do now is make some more money which he doesn't need and risk tainting his record with a dumb loss.

Some other predictions that went wrong.
Pacman was going to 'give' Marquez a third fight to conclude the saga. Oops.
Pacman was just going to have a money fight in Australia against Horn. Oops.
AJ was going to beat inexperienced quitter Dubious and be 'world champ' again. Oops.
Fury was going to take a tune-up against Wallin before the Wilder rematch and got the cut of a lifetime ...
Fury was going to take a money fight against MMA fighter before the Usyk fight ...

    And so on.

Why are people in a rush for usyk to retire?

    it’s like they’re worried he’s gonna lose.

I’m not asking him to but i can understand it. For his style, He’s at the age where it happens overnight and typically gets lost in context in a historical sense

True, but this is the story of a fighter.

They have to keep pushing till they cross that line, not anticipate it may be coming so quit whilst ahead.

I don’t think there is anything wrong with that. It won’t be advisable to fight knowing that body and mind are not operating at the same speed. He’s a smart guy it seems so I’m sure he’ll know when he can’t do it anymore and call it quits. No one can or should do that for him. He’s the one taking the punches :)

This is an opinions thread for opines. My opinion may not be relevant to yours.

This is the nicest way I can think to say I do not believe you are dumb enough to be lost by my post, its intent, or any single supporting subject.

If you think who deserves or earns from a fight is irrelevant that's just fine buddy. Don't pretend you're too slow to understand the perspective though.
