Imo one of the greatest resumes of the last 30 years.
    In 20 fights he beat:
    Glowacki: unbeaten world title holder
Huck: former unified world title holder
Breidies: unbeaten unified world title holder, after that he became the ring champ
Gassiev: unbeaten unified world title holder
Bellew: former world title holder (belt was not lost)
Anthony joshua x 2: unifed heavy weight world title holder

    Contenders:
    Hunter: unbeaten top contender
    Mchunu: extremely awkward top contender

So half of his resume are absolute top notch opposition.

It is really quite astonishing thr level of opposition and almost all on the opponents soil.

Let's hail to the one and only ukrainian cosack!

    A certified atg!

I have nothing to add to what you have already said. Usyk's resume is great, and it can only get better.

And most were in their primes. No smoke and mirrors on Usyk’s record.

I have him as the #1 cruiserweight ever and his two wins over AJ are quite impressive too. I want to see him in against Fury and Wilder before he ages.

Don't really see it as anything special tbh, especially when you say the last 30 years when Holyfield, Lewis, Whitaker, DLH, Pac, Floyd, Canelo, Jones Jr, Hopkins, Gonzalez, Donaire, etc etc etc were around. These lil Japanese fighters alone put Usyk's resume to shame.

Kazuto Ioka is a 4 division champion and in 29 fights beat...
Donnie Nietes HoFer and 4 division champ
Kosei Tanaka Undefeated 3 division champ
Akira Yaegashi WBA Champion that would later go on to be a 3 division champ and lineal at Flyweight
Francisco Rodriguez Jr former unified world champion
Felix Alvarado undefeated and former champion
Juan Carlos Reveco former long time Flyweight Champ
    etc etc etc

Then you have Inoue who's 18-0 with 16 ko's in title fights in only 23 fights,

IMO he will become a legend in his own time.
To add to his incredible pugilistic ability is his excellent personality and attitude towards his sport. Always shows respect and always comes accross as a very humble man, polite and gracious.

Yup and no shame in him losing to Fury

Just don't paint him as a destroyer because he beat the juice out of a bodybuilder

Nope it's not even close to equally impressive what the guys do at light weight.
    Let's compare apples to apples.
Those small guys give up 2 or 3 kg if they move up.
Usyk gives up 15 to 30 kg in his heavyweight run. How much harder the guys punch if they are that big in comparison to the lightweights.

So usyks work is way more impressive than from the small guys.

Let Ioka or inoue fight canelo or beterbiev. You know what would happen...
    Usyk is doing exactly that!!!

LOL, wut? First of all you don't understand body percentage. But let's look at the facts... Usyk's heavyweight run consists of a shot Chazz Witherspoon, shot Dereck Chisora and Joshua twice. He's a frickin' former HW gold Medalist for goodness sakes, we're giving him extra points now for what? Nobody cared or gave extra points when obese shot mental patient James Toney beat Rahman, Holyfield and Ruiz's ass or when Chris Byrd, a natural middleweight won 2 HW belts while stacking up an impressive resume. Wilder gives up a lot of weight compared to his opponents yet his resume is absolutely trash. Is he better than Roman Gonzales because he knocks out fighters who out weigh him? I really don't understand what point you're trying to make.

But yeah, Sorry man, I'm just not impressed by his resume. He's the p4p number 1 right now at the moment after Canelo lost, but one of the best resumes in the last 30 years? Come on...

It’s good but he has to fight more top guys at heavyweight to really solidify himself there.

If you give credit for guys moving up between divisions to capture titles, Usyk must get that too.
Next I cannot see why you critique his description of body weights & percentages-he is correct.

People did give credit to Byrd, & Toney.
But with the latter it is different, he got big & in part from PEDs.

You can fairly critique Usyk's resume at HW as not the best.
But what he did in his whole career, including 350 + amateur fights, is amazing.
And who he beat at what stage of their career as a professional CW.

An some credit must be given for being good against guys who were as big as most HWs until recent years, rehydrated in the ring.
Being P4P best at HW is a remarkable thing.

I'm not giving anyone credit for moving up divisions, what are you talking about. My whole point is that others have a flat out better resume period. I don't care how many weight classes Pacquaio, Donaire, Gonzales, or Ioka climbed up, it's the names in their resume that matters and they have better resumes than Usyk.

He's not correct, it's a ****ing stupid comparison. After a certain weight, pounds don't matter. A 200-210 pound man can beat men 230 plus, it's been proven time and time again throughout boxing history and even in the UFC. There's a 265 pound weight limit there and nobody besides Brock Lesnar had to really cut to that weight and he got beat up and man handled badly by lil 6'1 Cain Velasquez.

David Haye, a former lineal CW champ like Usyk literally gave up 100 pounds vs Nikolai Valuev for the WBA HW strap. By your peoples reasoning it should be one of the very best wins in the history of boxing. Is that win really better than Pac knocking Miguel Cotto out for the WBO Welterweight championship? I mean, Pac was just moving up 35 pounds from Flyweight, that's nothing. Usyk accomplished something similar and in shorter time when he fought and beat Dereck Chisora who outweighed him by 38 pounds! I mean, Tyson Fury shits 35 pounds after Christmas dinner. :hollering:
