First off Glenn Feldman should be thrown in jail for attempted robbery. I am not a AJ fan or an Usyk one. But continuing, I don't care about his amateur career, but how has so much of the forum felt they can confidently match Usyk with ATG heavyweights just because he went 12 (twice) rounds with Anthony Joshua... of all people?! Yawn. Who wanted this fight again? For all of Usyk's skill and talent Andy Ruiz fat ass beat AJ 5 rounds faster and just as if not more decisively. And all of the Usyk fans are detractors of AJ, calling him weak minded, can't pull the trigger, low ring IQ... is that really what you want to say about the guy who just took your boy 12 rounds again?! Even in victory it's embarrassing the claims people are making here when Usyk seems like he's facing equal opposition to himself. AJ should not be taking Usyk 12 rounds. I don't think Usyk can handle Fury. Fury has eaten atomic bombs from Wilder, Usyk has nothing comparable to throw at him. Right now the entire General Forum seems like a pool of apologists for the modern era that is blatantly weaker than it was compared to 20 years ago.
Going 12 with AJ is more impressive than knocking him out OP what are you on? Fury is ducking him. What does that tell you?
I don't think it's just because he went 12 rounds with Joshua it's because he has achieved incredible things in 20 fights, match that with an incredible amateur career he is clearly special.. he's more in the bracket of the Moorer and Spinks type heavyweights .. he can't be ranked alongside the likes of Lewis or Marciano though.. even tho i think hed beat the rock
This not going to age well. Check your facts again. Last time i check Ruiz was schooled in the re 12-0. Fury was KD by a f**** Pjanic or whatever the **** his name is, same aa Cunningham. Yeah 2 featherfisted mother*******. He couldnt KO shot to pieces Pianeta, how is going to beat Usyk exactly??? His cheating won't help him this time around.
Yes it’s a big deal. Every title defense is a big deal when you’re champion, much less heavyweight champion of the world. As an old football coach once told me regarding a game against a lesser opponent where his team was favored by like three touchdowns: “You don’t think it’s a big deal, try losing it and you’ll find out how big of a deal it is.” Just like AJ found out against Ruiz and in turn Ruiz found out in the rematch.
Relying on past knockdowns doesn't really make sense though considering Fury fought much bigger punchers than those two individuals that knocked him down.. he always gets back up anyway, Usyk has ZERO HW KOs.. power won't be the issue his speed will but he's getting older now & will slow .. I love the guy but he's clearly very uncomfortable with the physicality of the heavyweights and fury leans all over you.. unlike Joshua he knows how to use his size and the ring.. quit the Cunningham nonsense Ali got knocked down by Cooper it didn't stop him beating the likes of Liston or Frazier did it
Usyk could go 1000-0 (1000 KOs) against 1000 fellow world champions in their backyards and the rose-tinted goggle wearing boxing nostalgists and Insecure Ian's and Scared Sharon's would still lose their poop at the notion he could ever beat one of the mythical greats from yesteryear. How dare anybody ever suggest such a thing.
Yeah and a terrible boxer which Wilder is knocked your hero 4 times. Usyk will box his head off. Usyk is not letting you clinch and holding him. But you will understand what im talking about soon. If your hero actually decide to take the fight.
