Despite being the champion and doing the job on Tyson last time out. They’re not even trying to hide it anymore. Warren, Hearn, Turkey shake and all the fighters on the podium acting like Fury is still the man. What a joke.

Distasteful to hard cores as this may be, Fury's the one who's putting fannies in the seats, so hence the promoters hype him.

Much as people criticize Fury he kinda has to sell the fight, because Usyk sure as hell isn't.

Build up is important to the casual observers.

No different in ufc when mcgregor fights
It's his show all the way, as the casuals follow him
Usyk is loved my the majority of boxing fans and he should be more popular with casuals, but he isn't

He could destroy Fury tomorrow and a potential Aj v Fury fight will be much more hyped than this or any fight usyk takes next

    Its a popular contest
If that idiot mcgregor does decide to fight a Paul brother, it will do better than any current fight financially

    It's sad, but true

The western boxing fraternity has spent the last 6 months trying to gas light us on the first fight. So, this is just an expected extension of that.

Someone's about to get gypped.

Well. We can only hope that on Saturday he will remind them who the king of boxing is with his fists and boxing skills. Fury looks bad, he looks tired. He has dark circles under his eyes and talks terrible nonsense.
I suspect that he will shift into high gear from the first rounds, just as he did after the 4th round of the first fight. Either he will be able to defeat Usyk or he will survive it and will get back at him in the second part of the fight when Tyson slows down. And he has to slow down. Such a big guy has no right to have the strength for 12 rounds of constant beating and working on his feet at 100%.

I keep my fingers crossed for Usyk. The guy has already achieved everything in boxing. He doesn't "have to" anymore, he "can".

If he wins, great. If he loses, he still has a place in history because he did incredible things.

Even accounting for Fury’s draw power it is still disrespectful without needing to be so.

There were also the idiotic calls to both Fury and Usyk made by Turki, his conduct being heavily biased toward Fury.

Hearn has also said that it would be “better” if Fury won in order to set up a trilogy - that goes beyond fair elevation of the main attraction for the single fight in question.

Fury is the type of fighter who would shamelessly embrace and accept any “leg ups” on offer to inequitably advantage him in the fight.

Usyk is as cool and disciplined as they come - but that doesn’t eliminate the fact that he has been targeted by more than just a few players in the mental games dept.

Talk about Usyk fighting in Fury’s backyard…again.

In varying degrees, performances in boxing are always relative to the performance of the opponent in front of you.

Meaning, while there may be some absolute strategic selections eligible for modification, there is also the opponent forcing your hand to some extent in how you had to to fight or have to fight.

I thought Usyk’s own relatively faster and more aggressive start in fight 1 put Fury immediately on the back foot - Fury only coming on during rounds 4-6 when Usyk hit his own lull, cussing him to become that much more vulnerable.

Staying busy is that much more crucial for the smaller man, Usyk - offence comprising a good measure of his “effective” defence also.

With the second wind, Usyk was back in the driver’s seat from (and including) round 7 and on.

Usyk prudently elected to put the pedal to the metal for a KO/stoppage that he was ultimately robbed of.

That unjustly unrewarded effort goes a long way in explaining why Usyk didn’t necessarily have quite the same gas to step it up again (as he did in round 9), thereafter.

You’d be hard pressed to find a fighter who was so far gone as Fury was in round 9 who was still somehow ruled fit to continue - the ref immediately contradicting his ruling when he also saw fit (in breach of the rules for a still active fight) to assist Fury part way back to his corner -

    - You only expect to see that type of conduct from a ref AFTER he has actually stopped a fight, thereby fulfilling his obligated duty of care purely reserved for fallen and defeated fighters.

So, anyway, it will be interesting to see if Fury can prove how much his strategy was freely elected in the first fight as opposed to it being forced upon him.

I personally don't think Usyk cares. If it did bother him, I'm sure he would use the disrespect as fuel to motivate him more. It's all good.

I just hope that Usyk and his team realise they won't get a fair shake and that if the opportunity presents itself, he goes for the stoppage. I don't want to see the man lose in a close fight where he has done enough but doesn't get the nod.

I don't know why, but algorithm is treating Usyk like a king. He is everywhere, I don't even remember Canelo or AJ were being favorite, like that.
