Holyfield was on the juice when juicing was at its absolute peak. Really hard to know what would have been his real level under VADA testing rules.

I dont really see Usyk getting baited into a war, I think he takes a close decision off Holy

Usyk would beat him. Holyfield lost to almost all of his best opponents.

    Toney
Bowe (Lost two times but actually three.)
Lewis (Lost one time but actually two.)
    Moorer
    Byrd

His only significant win was past prime Tyson. Usyk is not Tyson, he has far better footwork and ring IQ.

Tough to say, judging by Evanders latest fight, Usyk by KO1 in round one inside 5 seconds. All jokes aside, in Holyfield's prime, it would be a close fight.

Usyk by fairly comfortable UD. Evander was terrible against tricky stick and movers like Byrd. Just couldn't figure them out. Usyk's obviously on another level there.

When Usyk goes lineal at H/W, he's done what Holy did. Until then, he hasn't.

Great win by Usyk in the other guy's backyard, but he's yet to do what another guy already did.

Who wins in a fight between them? Well, trying to keep it objective, Holy was better than the two guys who won golds at the 1984 Olympics in the H/W & SH/W divisions where he fought at LH. Usyk has just proven himself better than the SH/W gold medalist from the 2012 Olympics having won the gold himself at H/W. Holy also beat the guy who won the gold at H/W in the following Olympics in 1988 & drew with the bloke who won gold at SH/W (a HoFer). He also beat the silver medalist at SH/W from the 1988 Olympics. That's not bad for an overall body of work. I think we can give Usyk a win over the 2016 H/W gold medalist but will he be able to hold off the 2016 SH/W gold & silver medalists in a couple of years time? Quite possibly (he beat one of them in his amateur days), but I'd like to see him beat the current reigning Lineal H/W champ of the world before saying he's as good as Holy, let alone better.

As good as Usyk's win was, it's not like he just beat the guy who is universally recognised as the legitimate H/W champion of the world like Holyfield did when he challenged for all the titles at H/W. People who follow in your footsteps don't overtake you. Usyk needs to win the rematch & then go lineal to be on equal terms with Holy. I won't put him to the trouble of then winning back the lineal title & various versions of the alphabet belts after losing them the way Holy did. Two more wins for Usyk & I'll call it even.

I don't think Usyk would have beaten prime, fully roided up Holyfield in the US. Even if he did, the judges would have made sure he didn't.
That said, Usyk is the better boxer overall, and has been a better and more accomplished Cruiser as Holyfield ever was.

He was past it for Byrd thoigh. Well past it. Make no mistake i reckon a peak Holyfield vs a peak Usyk is 50/50 but i feel people don't remember the trouble Breidis gave him in spots. Joshua isn't Holyfield. Holyfield can pressure hard like he did against Holmes.

He did lose to Moorer but beat Moorer up in the rematch

Absolute horsesh*t. Holyfield lost to most of his best opponents, including blown-up middleweights and LHW's, especially if they were southpaws and he never really beat an elite SHW, much less a well-prepared one, much less in their backyard, much less when he was arguably past his prime.

There were only 3 belts back then and much weaker competition when he won the championship, beating champs in their early 40's from two decades ago and a perpetually unmotivated journeyman/fringe contender, going life and death with a fringe contender brawler and a bum who could punch a bit. Losing clearly to the first challenger with youth, athleticism and a size advantage. People look upon him with rose tinted glasses now for various reasons (he was a warrior, big fish small pool, he gave Bowe one close fight, he beat a post-Douglas, post-4+years in prison Tyson) but he was regarded as a bit rubbish at the time. The truth is somewhere in the middle.

Holyfield stands out because the talent pool back then was tiny, particularly at cruiserweight and Americans never took it seriously (it was the 190 lbs bridgerweight of its day).

All facts mate. I don't have time to argue with someone who is too stupid to recognise that. I didn't read beyond your first two words as a consequence but will later. Maybe you've said something worth responding to.
