I don't know how the criminal legal system works in USA but he should be taken to court and put in jail really, regardless of whether the victim presses charges.

That was just ignorant and stupid, it was over.....and he lost the bout, when he was up on the score cards... He has already been punished enough.

Leon is already on his way back to Michigan. They probably won't catch him. They will issue a warrant for his arrest in Maryland but if he makes it back to Michigan more than likely he will never see his day in court. Michigan and Maryland aren't border states typically this would be seen as a low priority warrant simple assault so Maryland won't be going all out to find him if he flees the state. They have much bigger fish to fry than this and as long as he never goes to Maryland again or gets stopped by police in Maryland he will be fine.
