WBA Regular means Mandatory, Contender nothing else.

You be the Champ when you beat the Champ nothing else.

Povetkin refuses to fight Wlad in the past and Povekin and his team knows Povetkin has not chance against Wlad. Povetkin is technical good but he had no punching power and a bad stamina. He fights like an amateur.

    Wlad will knock him out.

I would duck Wlad if I was Povetkin. He's going to be KO'd.

Check Teddy Atlas interview with Bokser.pl on youtube. It was released after Povetkin pulled out of the 2nd Wlad fight and that's when Atlas 'told the reason why he advised Alexander to pull out'.

Sauerland was pissed to say the least. Atlas called Kalle Sauerland a 'wolf in sheep's clothing' right in the first 30 seconds

Povetkin has nowhere to go but to Wlad. His 'title' is a dead-end and his 'defences' are meaningless rubbish.

The first fight Povetkin was due 3.33 million as a Mandatory which is a HUGE payday for a Mandatory fight. That is when he 'tripped' on the tree root.

2nd fight was the 2.4 mil and Atlas pulling him out and Povetkin no showing at the press conference.

What about the boy in your avvy.:huh

Uh.....it took him 3 yrs to finally show vs a K2, then he picks the weaker brother and runs for 12 rds.

Now, he comes back with an impressive win, not unlike his impressive win over Barret, and he's going for the broke down Klitschko.:D

And in Potvetkins defense, he has been particularly humble since his initial call out. Seems being called on his bluff set him straight.

Happy to hear however that his punchers chance is as good as it's gonna get. And why not cash out now, rather than being forced into a Haye or Helenius fight with less chance of catching lightning in a bottle.:think

    Horrible assertions in there Jisi.

Potvetkin IS a top 5 HW and would be in most eras. He has above average power and a good skillset. Yeah he gassed vs Huck, but Huck does that to guys letting them tee off on him for 3-4 rds before he starts fighting. Then he drags em into a war. Everyone who tries to KO Huck ends up getting gassed.

There is no evidence aside from that fight that Potvetkin has less than good stamina. And his power has been on display whenever he fights anyone with less than an iron chin.:deal

    :good

Wlad will knock Povetkin out. Povetkin defence is poor.

Povetkin's defence is poor? What the hell does that have to do with his contract with Sauerland?

I dont believe this at all. Word is if Chris Koval loses to Bryant Jennings he is in line for a shot at Potvekin.

    Waaaaaayyyyy too early for BY.

He'll smoke Koval no doubt, but Potvetkin is world level B class. Proven and undefeated vs other Blevel fighters.

Jennings has 1 win over a semi faded Blevel Liakovich and good wins vs Clevel guys in Byarm and Collins. Another vs Koval will be an excellent resume and confidence builder, but it's too early in his career to pit him against a world beater. :think
