No I wouldn't like to see him come out of retirement just to lose to some fighters who wouldn't have carried his jockstrap in his prime. Even someone as limited as Wilder would probably destroy him now. Vitali retired at the perfect time, right before the wheels completely fell off.
Vitali still spars and works out in the gym, he could knock Wilder out fight now, no problem. He has the tools to beat Joshua as well, but Wilder would be easy fight as Wilder can't fight, has not skills. Vitali is the mayor of Kiev, so I doubt if he would have time to make a come back. Vitali did make a come back after a layoff of 4 years, a record, won the title in that fight by stopping Sam Peter in the 8th round!!!!!!!
As much as id love to see him come back and become the man again (or any old legend for that matter) he would be too stiff... too slow... too old. He probably gets legitimately stopped by AJ at this point... So... why the hell do I still want to see it?
But I think that Joshua hasn't reached his prime yet. Joshua's gas tank is still suspect, if he solves this problem then for me he is a favorite in the fight with Vitali (in his prime of course)
Vitali's gonna try to win President elections in the future. He's currently training 6 days/week from 7-00 till 8-00, but mostly it's light training like lifting moderate weights, cycling, swimming just to keep in shape
I'm sure people talked themselves into believing a past prime Jim Jeffries could defeat Jack Johnson much like how these people calling for a Vitali comeback are.
Vitali is too smart to try to get back in the ring against someone like Joshua right now. In his prime he was better than Joshua is right now. Vitali always wanted to avenge his brother's losses and the fact that he can't because he's too old is probably what bugs him.
Why? Because AJ knocked out your brother? Stop this kind of revenge you dump ****. It's all over now. You should stay retired.
I still think he'd beat the absolute **** out of Haye... Even in his current state(obviously Haye has aged too) but he's probably aged worse than the decade older Klitschko.
You need serious fire power to make a comeback, like Foreman did. Wlad could come back at 45 and his power would still be there but Vitali....a fighter who wore fighters down before TKOing them....I am not sure.
