v. klitschko vs tony galento and max baer..

    I used to have trouble understanding that untill I understood Max Schmelings style better.

    Schmeling is basicaly a fighter who took the boxing textbook and inverted it. If the book said lead with a left he lead with a right and kept it in position to counter the left. Then instead of using his left to lead he would use it to follow up.

    People who think that Schmeling didnt use his left are wrong it was actualy his main tool for breaking an oponent down by attacking the body but it was not imidiately obvious.

    Now if you put Joe Louis in front of Schmeling he is confronted by a textbook figher who is well suited to him executing his eccentric gameplan.

    If you put Max Baer ion front of him then what textbook has he seen that in?
