This tournament does not include Charley Burley, so is rendered non-offical.

Is it also missing Napoles and Ted Kid Lewis?

I could have added guys like Ted Kid Lewis, Charley Burley, Kid Gavilan or Benny Paret, etc. But I chose to put in who I wanted to put in. I wanted to add second tier champs and top contenders otherwise Mayorga, Forrest, Taylor, Judah and Cotto wouldnt be there.

I did the same for the HW and LHW tourney threads that I did.

I figured it would combine Interesting Head to Head Match ups. Including ONLY ATGs in tournaments like this would inevitably lead to people to chosing the fighter with the greater legacy as opposed to the fighter who matches up better stylistically, which is not what the tournament is about. Truthfully given that this is the classic forum I should have went ahead an added only ATGs but I wanted to add fighters who have more film availiable so people can base thier opinions on from thier own perceptions and not what what historians chose to say about them.

Terrible tournament, I must say. No Gavilan, Napoles, Rodriguez, Ross, McLarnin... Yet Ricardo Mayorga stars :think

    Please,

there are plenty of all time greats to choose from in that list. Let's just pretend that Mclarnin, Ross, Rodriguez, and Napoles had the flu that evening.

Please? Please what? Don't 'please' me in that condescending manner. The tournament is ****, and so are you.

Again, the tournament is not meant to include ONLY ATGs it is meant for Tier 1 ATGs and a mix of Tier 2 fighters/champions. I could have included Burley, Ross or Gavilan but I chose not too. I wanted to include some modern fighters.

    "Bigtimeskills"

    The results for:

    Duran/Forrest
    Breland/Mayorga
    De la Hoya/Basilio
    Judah/Curry

Are what my opinion is if the fights were to take place. It is conceivable that Forrest can beat Duran, Mayorga can stop Mark Breland, De la Hoya can outpoint Carmen Basilio and Judah can stop Donald Curry a fighter who couldnt hold on to his title even if his hands were made of velcro. The results are not set in stone and I may change my mind later. What I didnt want from this tournament is people to come in and compare legacies as oppossed to Head to Head analysis which is what this tourney was based on.
