Funny thing is some of these things are not even hard to catch. soviet era PEDS. Imagine the amount of designer drugs & techniques used to avoid testing. Or hey why not just use IV bags & pay off USADA.
You have to read the story of the Russian old pics and the debacle of their drug tests Testing makes Panama Lewis look like a saint
Isn't it melondium which he's been busted for? It's the same thing Sharapova and a whole host of other athletes (particularly Russian ones) were taking until it was banned at the start of 2016.
It is becoming more and more clear why Floyd Mayweather avoided VADA like the plague for the Pacquiao fight.
Facts are facts. He didn't want VADA & he used an IV bag. turn a blind eye to it all you want. Anyway forget about him...this is about Povetkin.
Here's my opinion: 1) Refusing VADA wasn't dodgy because he already pushed for USADA. Two testing agencies is a bit much. 2) What is dodgy is the whole IV situation. 3) What did I turn a blind eye to? I've addressed your post. Here's what's funny to me after this news broke: Wilder fans: Povetkin fans:... Pacquiao fans: VADA! VADA! VADA! More proof Floyd was cheating! Boxing fans:
Good on VADA for being forwardly progressive in cleaning up the sport. :nod By the way, though Ortiz was caught previously, he did come out clean for the Jennings fight (which VADA handled). Same here. This was a very highly anticipated fight. I still want to see it, but the smoke from this mess hasn't cleared yet. We should hope the results of the B sample come out favorably, but even then.... it just... looks bad. :-(
