Be sure to wear all your TAPOUT garb saturday so people in the bar will know just how tough you are. Also, start a UFC UFC UFC chant. I've actually seen this with my own eyes.:-(
I just think it is funny that you are acting like he is a BJJ king all of the sudden. Carwin defended poorly. 2, Brock should have started rotation much sooner. Far from textbook. Not to meantion Carwin has the cardio of an 80 year old smoker with an oxygen tank.
You have a rather inaccurate mental image of me, which you seem to be using to avoid actual discussion.
Well my point is it shows improvement, who would have thought he could have made that work? But the underhook, mount, step over combo was very well done, the choke was good once he adjusted and looked to his corner. It shows he isn't just willing to utilize his strengths, but wants to get better. This content is protected Well done there This content is protected gets advice from his trainer, one of the best in the game and listens, which most fighters fail to do. Also, despite Carwin being gassed, he set the takedown up perfectly; that wasn't going to be stopped under any condition. This content is protected
Beebs you and the other zuffa scrotumsack licker are the only guys I have ever talked to that think that fight was anything more then terrible.
Did you happen to talk to the arena that was going absolutely insane? Perhaps the ranking sights that had it listed as, at worst, 2 top 5 HW's going at it? It was an important fight, regardless of if you found it entertaining. However, if you didn't find a guy coming back like that highly entertaining, it is because you are simply biased and refuse to accept anything put on by Zuffa as good. Do you think it was a more important and more entertaining fight than Rogers vs Overeem?
Based on all those great heavyweights he has beaten right? Just like he beat Kharitanov in their rematch? You didn't answer the question anyway: was Overeem vs Rogers, coming off a loss to Fedor, a bigger fight than Lesnar vs Carwin? Of course it wasn't.
No it was not a bigger fight than Lesnar/Carwin. But I think it is sad that Lesnar/Carwin is the biggest heavyweight fight the UFC can currently make and they have to hype it to the moon. I just think if UFC fans were not so ignorant to the world of MMA, they would probably say "I'm not paying 50 bucks to watch these guys". On a side note, I think the biggest fight that can be made right now in the UFC heavys is Lesnar vs Dosantos. And overall Lesnar vs Overrem.
Im so sick of the Overeem hype. He needs to string some wins over quality opposition. Is his fight iq any better than when he wasa 205lb kid? Has there really been any growth.. other than the obvious? Who knows.. he hasnt fought anyone! Dont get me wrong.. i like the guy. He can clearly light people up.. but he always could. He is obviously picking opponents to build a winning streak at this point.
That's what we want to know. But who better to have him fight than Lesnar, who has also beaten nobody of interest except an old couture.
Man you didn't even know what WAMMA was, maybe you should stfu on the topic of ignorant MMA fans. :deal
I think Overeem would light Carwin up badly, his hands are not anywhere near as developed and Carwin has not been in with a bonifyed striker. I think Gabe hurt him quite badly in their fight. Overeem is a lot more technical and accurate than Gonzaga and hits just as hard. Carwin could obviously put Overeems lights out with one shot but I would make him the favorite.
Overeem has an uncanny ability to find a way to lose.. or at least he used to. And i usually pick the guy who can control where the fight takes place. In this fight i think thats Carwin.
