the guy did a great job. props. The only thing anyone can maybe complain about is that he did too good a job and kind of took the spotlight.
He's been a sports commentator for the NBC affiliate here in Philly for a number of years. He should be pretty good at it.
some commentators have been doing it for years and i still think they suck so he still deserves some props
I hope he gets the chance soon to guest on another FNF/WNF episode - he's pretty damn articulate and knows the fight game.
You could tell he was a pro. He made a couple of factual errros along the way, but overall you could tell he really knew the sport and wasn't just one of these general sports guys who didn't know jack about boxing. IMO he'd be a great improvement over annoying guys like Teddy Atlas, or even worse, Kellerman.
I thought he did a great job on FNF. Jose opened his big mouth, Vai shut it up. Dude should be in the HOF just for that.
