It's just the powa outage from no PEDs to make them count. Stevenson is in trouble when he steps in with someone who can actually bang and has skills.

Shakur is physically huge now at 130lbs. Hell, he's bigger than Berchelt and has elite quickness.

I guess the natural fight they'll make next is Robson Concieao , he'll give a better fight than Valdez but still lose fairly widely. Otherwise there is nobody left at 130lbs for him. I guess TR could move up Emanuel Navarrete but that predictable.

Stevenson won't be tested unless he moves up to 135lbs.

Valdez rarely hit him a good shot to the head. His defense is very good!

His main defence is stiff arming, so I reckon when a ref finally stops him from doing it his defence will crumble somewhat and he'll start getting caught a lot more.

Valdez can bang. The PED’s he took were for weight loss. Even when he was young and clean he was still stopping guys out with one punch

I disagree. Valdez touched him plenty to the and body. He didn't light him up, but he landed flush enough.

Valdez was able to touch up Stevenson a bit when he was fighting out of desperation but he still couldn’t do anything.

Yeah that stiff arm is illegal AF and he sure abuses it bro.
I had him winning every round except one and I even doubt Tank can muscle his way inside on that big frame at 135

Newsflash!!! this is boxing you're going to get hit. Even defensive masters like pbf and pea got hit. With that said Shakur displayed great defense and probably held Valdez to a career low connect % which is what Shakur does against everyone just like pbf and pea did

I turned off this non-competitive fight in the 8th round and went to bed. At that point in the fight I hadn't seen Valdez land a telling
blow, and from his dumb ass Plan 9 from Outer Space Peek a Boo style that wasn't working and he wasn't changing I
didn't think the last rounds were worth watching.

Further newsflash!!! Learning to do dirt and rough guys up is a rite of passage in boxing. Guys don't abandon or stop developing that know-how (while others continue to cultivate it) out of a higher sense of valor and nobility so much as they have a mindset that becomes accustomed to their pure boxing controlling opponents and neglect to further cultivate their understanding of the dark arts. If I can deliberately step on your lead foot with mine as a means by which to land a punch in your face, I'm going to keep doing it, and it's your problem if you're too naive and lacking in shrewdness to either find a way to stop me or return the favor.

And, truth is, many fighters who may be held up as exemplars of clean-fighting valor will be dirty as all get-out. They're just subtle enough with it that it goes unseen by the consumer.

You cannot step into a ring expecting a third man to protect you from dirt. Doesn't work like that. He might, but he might well not. Whatever you might think a third man is there for, the duty to protect you is ultimately all on you. It's always a dogfight, every time you get in a ring.

    Not true at all.

There are true gentlemen of the sport who abide by the rules. Not every fighter needs or has a desire to fight dirty or push the rules inside the ring.

Pacquiao, Golovkin, Donaire, Inoue — all elite guys that fight very cleanly inside the ring. Hell, even Margarito, Clenelo, and Marquez were some of the cleanest fighters in the ring. No low blows, headlocks, excessive clinching, shoving, throwing elbows and forearms, etc.. They believe in their skills enough to not rely on shady tactics or rule-bending.

The only one that beats him for sure is Loma. I don't think he should rush into a Tank fight either. But everyone is young and developing, anything could happen.

^ Therein lies the vast difference between romance and reality.

You missed JMM quite deliberately stepping on Pacquiao's right foot whenever he could?

Never noticed Golovkin quite consciously bang a punch into an opponent's upper leg?

You don't recall Freddie warning Pac about Tony's elbows/head?

I mean, some of the guys you mention there are the same guys you deride for being dopers. So they'd juice themselves up in training camp in order to gain an advantage over an innocent, guileless, trypanophobic non-doper like Saint Manny of Sarangani, but they're above some good ol' rough stuff once inside the prize ring?

Most would disregard a couple shots to Zab's nuts and describe Miguel Cotto as a clean fighter, yet Paul Malignaggi spoke (somewhat admiringly, not reproachfully) of the PR's knack for inflicting damage to his opponents' shins. Said he was about the roughest guy he faced, and he boxed Ricky Hatton.
