Both Jessie Magdaleno and Oscar Valdez showed impressive victories over their opponents on Saturday. Although Donaire skill wise isn't there anymore, he's still fairly there when it comes to a big name which can now be seen Magdaleno resume. Since Donaire vs Valdez was a possibility, is Magdaleno's win over Donaire enough to get a shot at Oscar Valdez instead?
They're a weight class apart, I doubt that fight happens anytime soon. And it doesn't need to happen right now. They need to focus on who's in their divisions now and work towards becoming the best in their division.
Jessie would be smart to rematch nonito, I bet nonito gives the biggest payday down at 122 besides maybe quigg, and it's a fight he should be quite favored in again.
I'd like to see it and would favor Valdez, it's a little soon for it though. Both guys are young champions in different divisions let them make a few defenses of their titles and Arum could match them up in 18-24 months. This is one of those cases where the fight could use time to build.
I was kinda looking for a break down in boxing abilities, flaws, style clashes, strategies etc. Legitimate reasons for your assumption, then maybe I would counter or agree. At any rate, a real boxing dialogue would take place. If all you got is (" I know what I'm looking at" ) then I know already that you really don't.
