Why don't they just do the weight correctly through diet tho,rather than using substances which can potentially get them banned or stripped. It seems to be a lazy way to me rather than something that gives him performance enhancing effects. Maybe I'm missing something?

So Sunnys suggesting that Valdez is taking banned substances to MAST (I'm assuming he means masks) a banned substance. That don't make sense really.

 

Diuretics can be used to affect kidney function which in turn affects metabolites produced by PEDs, thus throwing off tests.

Phentemine is given not just to cut weight. Boxers take drugs to train hard on top of direct benefits like greater endurance and strength.

 

Usually diuretics are used to flush your system of whatever PEDs your using.

I hadn’t realised Valdez was defending against Conceicao. The Brazilian looked promising after Rio but he has been brought along dreadfully, and is now being thrown in the deep end completely. At least Michael Conlan has been put in with people trying to win throughout his career. If it goes ahead it will be too big a jump for Robson I would imagine, but if Valdez can’t fight and they get some top 15 ranked joey in Conceicao could end up a champion.
