Quigg is overweight, can't win the title, rather pointless fight now for all sides.

To miss the weight by almost 3 pounds is disgusting and completely unprofessional.

They must have known he wouldn’t make weight all week for him to that much over. Disgusting. Hearn looked fuming.

 

2lbs over as well, not like it was just a wee bit.

 

Embarrassing by Quigg. He can't blame travel etc. Hearn will rightfully be fuming he's trying to build Matchroom in US talked Top Rank into paying exactly what he wanted for Quigg which he admits was much more than other options Top Rank had.

I can't believe this. Let's wait for the reason first. Quigg is totally professional and dedicated, he's the last fighter I would expect to come overweight. I heard him an interview earlier saying 'he'd left no stones unturned''. I think it'll be something like the scales he was using were wrong or something like that.

He says he was 3lbs overweight yesterday but that is normal for him and he shifts it for the weigh in. For whatever reason, he couldn’t so ended up missing it. Has been fined 20% of his purse.

Edit - have just seen a photo of Eddie Hearns face when Quigg missed the weight. He mustn’t have known, he looks like he’s about to wreck all round him.

 

Quigg is a consummate pro. He couldn’t shift the weight. Sometimes your body lets you down and plays tricks on you. Happens. Great shame because I was really looking forward to the fight. Still am but loses significance.
